Confused about jack and tool kit

I understand that there have been lots of jack and tool kit configurations from no jack in many 02's to a little tool bag in the left hatch in the rear and the jack bag to a styrofoam jack and tool kit. What are the configurations and on what cars and years did they occur?

My 2005 MCS has a jack in a bag in the boot (that sounds funny). There is also a small toolkit primarily with the towing hook under the boot liner beside the battery.

My june build 02 MCS had no jack and a little tool kit in the left side rear with a wheel wrench and hub cap puller.

My nov 03 build 04 MCS has a small cloth bag with a jack and accessories in the boot with the same little tool kit as the 02 in the left smugglers bin.

Same with me for my 2005. I also noticed a larger looking tow hook in my glovebox. Perhaps it was used during shipping? Oh, I haven't checked the content of the jack bag but is there a lug wrench inside?

Yeah, I believe there is a lug wrench in there with the jack. I haven't really looked in there since delivery day, but I know there's more than one tool in the baggie (I've also put in a good digital tire pressure gauge for good measure). Oddly, the wheel lock nut is with the other toolkit under the boot lining and not with the rest of the tire tools...

Not sure why you've got a second, larger tow hook, but perhaps it was during transport and someone just forgot to take it back. I've never actually seen MINIs being delivered; are they brought in on a big 2-level car carrier? Perhaps your's was brought in individually on a bed (where using the tow hook makes more sense).

Can anyone confirm if Cooper S convertibles are equipped with the "Towing Eyelet"?

I can't seem to find it in new Cooper S Conv we have here. All I see is a pouch inside the boot with the floor jack and nut tool but no towing eyelet to be found.

I was under the impression that the foam thingy next to the battery was in all the 05 and 06 MCS's, that should have the tow hook, a screwdriver, hubcap puller, and allen wrench. Not sure if i missed anything there.

02 Cooper (09/02 build) with the foam thingy holding all kinds of goodies, including a jack, tow hook, lug wrench, wheel block, screwdriver, towel to wipe your hands with, etc under the carpet in the boot above my spare tire

In the boot, in the back, in the corner, in the dark? (sorry....I was reminded of a popular '70s TV show...)

Yes, there is a white styrofoam box with the tow hook and a few other things in my 06 MCSc. It is next to the battery in the boot.
