Mine shows up as "At the Distribution Center", but the dealership said on Monday that it should be delivered to them today or tomorrow. I think the i-net tracking thingy might be a day or two behind.

Mine was not actually on the Integrity........it was on the Emden, which was ahead of Integrity, so mine got here earlier than I expected.

So, .........if your Minis found any fake plastic snakes in their luggage, wound up with black circles around their headlights from using binoculars that had shoe polish on the eyepieces, or found out that night that someone had substituted sour cream for their sunblock......heh, .....it wadn't mine.

IT'S HERE

My MA called me this morning and told me it was here as she was watching them unload it from the truck. So i call my work and told them i was going to be coming in late, and i went over to the dealership and got to see it in person and touch it and everything. My MA said it would be ready for delivery as soon as tomorrow so it think i am going to pick it up on like Monday or Tues. I'll post the pictures i took of it tonight when i get home from work.

vokoun29, congrats on your delivery. Irish, glad to hear that yours made it and the WW was wrong. Uncle John requested some photos for "closure" purposes. I have attached a crappy garage pic. The weather since I picked her up has been, well, like England (I guess MINI brought Oxford weather to NJ). One of these days the sun will come out and I can get a better shot of her.

Thanks, the wait is definately worth it.

Very nice looking MINI you have also. I was at the dealership the other day and was thinking your interior would look good on a BRG, and it definatly does.

Congrats, to all whose MINI's are finally arriving.

Jwasbury - Nice interior, classy lookin.

Mykl - Chris was off yesterday so I can't find out 'till today if it's even there.

*Friday afternoon update.* Mine didn't make the same truck as Mykl's, so no car 'till next week.

Break-in update

Now have about 400 miles on the odo and everything is great, loving it. My wife and I loaded up rock climbing gear, our two 50lbs dogs and went to ralph stover state park in PA for some outdoor fun. Not "broken in" yet in terms of miles, but in terms of dog hair and dog slobber, the break in is now officially complete.

Just clicked over 500mi here. Those first three days I put 100mi on each day, but it's slowed a bit now...

Hard to follow break-in. Been keeping it below / around 4k rpm. Usually pretty heavy throttle up until that point though.. But ah well. A few hundred more and I'll start building the revs up.

You poor guys who haven't gotten yr MINIs yet! That last week or so was the worst for me. The previous month flew by in comparison..

.
I've almost been hit a couple times in parking lots, because whenever I park, I usually need to walk backwards a bit to look at it...

Congrats, to all who have gotten your MINI's!! I Have put right at 500 miles on mine and I picked it up last Wednesday. I take the long way to work and the long way home just to drive it more, and with the nice weather we have been having it is really hard to be at work.

Unfortunately for those who have not read it, the nasty washer fluid bug got me today and I haven't even used the wiper but to drain the fluid while somebody was hosing down the car. I now have two marks across my bonnet stripes! I tried QD, wax and washed the car agin for the third time since I have had it but they are still there. I had even put a coat of wax on it Sunday but this stuff will eat through anything. Please make sure you drain your fluid and run a couple of tanks of water through it so none remains in the lines. I wish I had done that instead of just draining them! I will call my MA tomorrow to see what can be done about it.

Other that that minor (major to me) incident, I can not put into words how much I love the car. I have driven roads close to me that I had never been on in my life just to see where they went.

Congrat, and I hope everyone enjoys their MINI as much as I do.

Well, my MA still says it will be coming to Charelston, SC on 6/15, while the WW site says it was discharged from the Freedom on Sunday 6/11. I sent her a PDF of the WW info, including booking, loaded on vessel, and discharge, but she won't comment. I hate to think I might have tracked the wrong ship across the Atlantic! Either somebody is wrong, or they made two MINIs with the same VIN#. Maybe we had twins! MINIUSA O.L. still shows "En Route", of course. (It always seems to be a few days behind.)

Oh well, I guess there's still a chance we'll get Winston sometime next week ....I hope. He'll probably tell us to stop calling him Winston.

I envy all you week 20ers who are already out driving around ....and I'll have to watch out for the wiper fluid problem....that sucks.

Alright! MINIUSA O.L. says it's at the VDC! I still don't know if it actually arrived 6/11 on the Freedom, or came in today as my MA said. 6/11 seems more likely, since the O.L. is always behind.

I just hope Tropical Storm Alberto didn't mess with Winston...heard they had a tornado in downtown Charleston.

Time is really dragging now. :impatient

Keep us posted. It's been good to have a support group to chat with whilst waiting the last million days.
