Well it looks like there are 2 scheduled stops in Charleston. One is red and one is black so i wondering if there is more than one port that it has to stop at. My MA said she would call me when she found out it was at the VDC and she didnt call me today so hopefully ill hear from her Monday.

My MINI arrived at the dealer Thursday night. But since I've been mainly e-mailing my MA, he contacted me that way.

And I just checked my mail a few minutes ago for the first time in days. I'm going to need to wait till Monday.

GAH!!

If it's like my 04 car, should be about a week. I'm just glad the ship didn't sink . . . and, we still have to find Mykl's car. I'm thinkin' stow-away. Sure hope it remembered to get off.

newcomer here

but i think i'm a week 20 order....

i should have kept track....but i think it got built the week of the 8th or the 15th......i'm thinking more the 15th.

anyway, i'm here in california, so i get to wait longer than everyone else! yay!

according to the OL it became "en route" somewhere between the 23rd and 25th.
from what i've been reading, that doesn't seem to be the most up to date status available.

i tried calling my MA last week, and apparently the girl i was going to buy it from only worked there for 2 days =/
the day i test drove it.
and the day i put my deposit down.

so the guy i'm buying it from now was kinda...not as cool. and he told me that my mini was still "waiting to be built" even though the OL said it was "awaiting transport".
my guess is that he...was looking at an old list...?

anyway, just seeing if there are any other west coasters to send out saying i'm feeling your pain. especially since i'm officially car-less until my mini arrives!:impatient

Im not very positive, just hoping, but my MA seems pretty sure it was on there. She showed in her computer that it was scheduled to arrive on a vessel hitting the port around 6/1 to 6/3 which the Integrity did. The Wallenius site hopefully just never updated me. Theres no way it would still be sitting there almost a month later. Im hoping she will have info for me that its at the VDC or maybe even on its way here when i call her tomorrow.

JEEEEEZ

So, before I rant, let me just say that I don't blame my MINI dealer, my MA, or anyone really. But these past two days have been a TOTAL PITA. I've spent every free moment trying to get the MINI. If it hasn't been the insurance company, then it was getting the loan. If it wasn't that, then it was getting my down payment from the bank. And if it wasn't that... It was the FUGGING insurance company again!

So it's my first new car, and I didn't know what I was doing. In the future, I'll be sure to insure the car before the day I wish to pick it up. And I'll give the dealer advance notice that I need a loan........

...... But the good news is that the car is totally and completely ready to go. It was ready to go on Tuesday by 4-5ish, but by that time I had to go to work. Going to be picking her up noonish tomorrow. And with two days off, I'll most likely just be driving it around. Woot!

Delivery Report

I picked up my BRG/W MCS yesterday. It is absolutely beautiful. What a great ride! Can't wait for the first roadtrip. To my fellow week 20ers awaiting delivery: hang in there, you'll be smiling soon.

My MA says Winston is due in port on 6/14....while all evidence I can find (from WW) says he IS loaded on the Freedom, due in Charleston on 6/10....what gives? I hope she's wrong. :impatient The next WW ship arrives on 6/17, according to the port of Charleston website. ...Guess it could be on a different carrier.....strange conflicting info...drives me crazy.

Yeah Gator, I'm thinking the same thing...that it's actually ahead of schedule. I e-mailed my evidence of the port arrival dates (PDFs from WW) to my MA, but never heard back on who was right...her or WW.

Believe me the wait is definately worth it when you see your new baby in the showroom. May all your MINI's arrive shortly.
