Hi! I've owned my 2005 mini S for a year now and just found this site. I am sad though that last month after only having 11k mi on her she needed a new transmission. What a shock & disappointment. My service manager said it was very rare and he was just as surprised. Anyone out there have this problem? Will I be doing this again?

Have heard of one or two needing new transmissions very early, but no it seems to be the exception and definiately not the rule. (particularly for the MCS)
