Booked on the Freedom

Opening a thread for any Freedom USofA-bound new MINI owners!

Any week 15, 16 (or other?) weekers are welcome!

AFAIK, the Freedom is planned to set sail tomorrow (April 21) and arrive in SC on May 7.

If anybody else is picking up from Patrick MINI, we might see each other!

Great to "check back in" on future MINI Cooper owners! I know I had a blast waiting for mine!

To help you, the FREEDOM is an awesome big **** boat.

I still show as booked and received. If I miss this one (again), I'm going to hijack a cargo ship and pick it up myself

Or just wait another week or two

Does the ship booking show up on miniusa.com or by calling 866-ASK-MINI?

Its only 1.5 hours to the Freedom sails so I guess the loading is coming to an end very soon.

yes, they told me at 866-ask-mini, they said the internet link from Europe was down this morning and only came back up a lil bit ago so the miniusa site should be updating.

The WW website shows it was booked on the Freedom departing today Voyage # EB616-FRE

Looking at the live radar of the port, the Freedom has set sail.

I still don't say loaded! Is it possible I could have missed this one too? Southampton is RED on the schedule, meaning the boat has left, right? But I'm still booked and received but not loaded. This is getting a little frusterating...

If you are booked on EB616-FRE,,, that is today's sailing. The next Freedom departure from South Hampton is not until June 10th.

Mine shows booked at 23:59 yesterday and received at 00:00 so there have been no updates since last night. They will squeeze cars on until the last minute to get all they can. The last stuff on the boat may take a little bit to update via the website since they scan the car's in and then that has to update the servers.

Now that I've calmed down and actually read the entire page , it says my mini was received at terminal at midnight, so I guess it's on the boat!!! Looks like our babies are shipmates

Hey guys don't get too excited yet. Unless your status says "loaded" there's a good chance you didn't get on. A bunch of got really excited because we were supposed to get on the integrity last week. There were a lot of sad future mini owners that found out they didn't make it! It took a couple days till our vessel changed to the freedom. O-ron, chuck, did you guys get loaded? I don't think I did :-(

I'm cool with either situation; I would actually enjoy a month of not making car payments.

it's weird, because the WW cargo tracking site doesn't say I'm loaded yet (and the boat has already set sail!), but I talked to my dealer yesterday and he said my car is on it's way and due for arrival at Charleston on the 7th. Also, miniusa updated and now says my car is "En Route"

hopefully that all is good news....

katesmini - you might want to check miniusa or check with your MA

Thanks for the encouraging words! I checked in the owner's lounge and it does say en route. I had given up on checking that because it's usually so far behind! Maybe I did make the boat. I can't keep it straight!

I am still showing booked and received for the Freedom that sailed today.but not loaded status. MiniUSA is showing awaiting transport, but 866 ASK MINI told me that it is loaded...

In the end, I have no clue where it is now. The next WW ship sales on 4/26 arriving on the 10th which would only be an arrival 4 days later then the sailing today.

woohoo! my purple speed demon is loaded on the freedom too! Freedom is still in the English Channel, but looks to be making good time headed to the open seas. looks like we got a BUNCH of purple headed stateside this trip. Mine's getting off in Charleston and headed to Cinci, then a final road trip (my first) to get home to Indy.

What's everybody else's final leg look like?

I think Classic has at least 3 purples to be delivered in the next couple weeks. Must be something in the water???

When you go to the WW tracking page, if you take the booking number, it shows every car that is a part of the booking... alot received at terminal, some loaded and then some received at terminal but with a waitlist status (guess those are sailing standby)

Mine is only showing booked and received at terminal and MiniUSA still shows awaiting transport so I guess mine is spending a few last days in England before heading to Texas.

I wonder if they ever ship cars to Brunswick, GA since the trucking company that transports (Waggoners) has a terminal there and Brunswick, GA and Charleston and very close together. Maybe mine will catch the Don Quijote as it makes it way to California.
