This is sort of old news for the rest of you, but my MA just confirmed that my car is schedule to leave port on 07MAY and arrive at PH on 31MAY.

According to the folks on the Production Week 18 Support Group thread, the Centaurus Leader will be passing through the Panama Canal on the 20th.

I originally thought the 15th.
Does anyone know what boat will be arriving in California on that day? WW site says nothing when my vin# is entered.

You must be on the NYK ship -- the Cassiopeia Leader with sfodoug. Your MA should be able to tell you for sure which ship you are on.

I'm a week-18er on the Centaurus Leader. Moonlighting on the other support group threads helps me to avoid going crazy waiting.
Well, sfodoug... you're welcome on our thread any day. For the discussions we're having now, it would almost be better to either merge the threads or start new "arriving at VDC in week 22" threads. :D
I've been lurking on the week 18 thread myself since we're all in the same boat, many of us literally.

WooHoo, my MINI arrived at the dealer this AM
I called my dealer for the last 3 weeks and was told to expect my MINI to be at the port on the 17th (instead of the 13th as originally scheduled). I called again early this week and was told the same thing.
I called this AM to verify the VIN for my insurance and was told my MINI had been unloaded from the truck first thing this AM and was now sitting my dealer's back lot, with the final QC and electronic programming scheduled to be done tomorrow. Apparently my MINI arrived at the port on the 13th as was originally scheduled and cleared VDC in a couple of days.
What a suprise! Can I go up to LA and get it now? No! I can't get up to there until next Friday
, but at least my MINI is here!
So, everyone keep positive thoughts as your MINI may arrive earlier than expected.

Just got a email from my MA and she says our car is on the CASSIOPEIA LEADER due in California around the 20th. Originally she said the 15th. I was hoping to get it at the end of next week before memorial day but that may not happen. Now I'm looking at least the first week in June to get it to Denver, CO. UG!!
Want to here a wierd thing? I called ASKMINI and now it says waiting at port for a ship. For the last two weeks it was saying in transit.
I will trust the MA info.

Roboto MINI indicates that my MINI is still "in transit" at sea also. Even though my MA was off a bit, I would still rely on them also.
Minitee, SFO Doug and everyone else, hang in there! Your MINIs will be in and you will be motoring before you know it. The 31st is just around the corner.
I am thinking fast VDC time and early delivery thoughts for all of you
.
We gotta post pics once everyone gets their MINIs and yap about how fun the drive home was or how long we each played hookey from work just to be able to drive around
I forgot to mention:
When I spoke to my MA yesterday, I asked them NOT to drill holes in my front bumper for the license plate. He indicated that they typically do this (as it is Cali law) unless asked not to. I have to sign a waiver indicating that I requested no mounting holes. I am not sure about the laws in your state, but if you don't want holes in your bumper, you may want to speak to your MA. I will probably buy one of the tow hook mounted adapters: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...e+plate+holder

Greetings and salivations. I have been lurking here for sometime, patiently waiting for my baby to arrive. :impatient
But alas the excitement has grown to great for me.. "I WANT MY MINI" ..
.. it almost makes me wish I would have used an east coast dealer. Could have been a fun trip home. Maybe next time.
I have enjoyed all of your comments following the whole process of our precious (use the voice of Golem here).
I think domc has the start of a motto. "In MA we trust".

Centaurus Leader going thru the Panama Canal
Both sfoDoug and I have too much time on our hands. See his post in the Week 18 thread for an animated GIF of this.
This is the Centaurus Leader going thru the Miraflores Locks. The Centaurus Leader is the blue ship behind the red WW ship there.

Hey, I use to drive from San Diego to LA for a job. Lived there for 10 years.
That I-15 is a b*tch in traffic. Good luck in traffic on a holiday. Great way to break in a MINI.
Askmini tells me the same thing, but the ol tells me it's at the VDC.
I tell ya this is worse than a little kid waiting for the candy store to open.....

I hear ya about the traffic up the 15 at rush hour. El A is a different story, it is packed all of the time now. I try to avoid Smell A as much as possible, but my family and SO live up that way, so I gotta make the trek. But starting Friday I get to make it in my MINI
I checked out your site, awesome pics, especially Uno, aaaaaaah, so cute! Hang in there, sounds like your MINI is just a week away, woohoo!
Where are the rest of the week 16'ers?

I've been doing lots of reading up on accessories, dealer programmable options, and whatever else I can to pass the time.

I'm still here. My MINI is still scheduled for mid-June delivery. Not much to report or add. The Panama Canal crossing was pretty fun. Like others I've got some accessories already ordered.

Hey Minitee and M1, good to hear from ya!
Hang in there guys, your rides are almost here, woohoo!
I don't remember if I posted this before, so if I did please disregard, but here is a link to the 2005 owners manual. I would not think that the 2006 would be much different. I figured it would be nice to have an idea of where everything was and how it worked so I would not blow up my car by accident on the drive home
.
The manual, along with the one for the nav unit and the stereo are about 3/4 of the way down the page under "Motorfile Downloads": http://www.motoringfile.com/

Thanks for the pointer on the owner's manual. I also found the 2005 manual in the MINIUSA owner's lounge. No link since its all Flash-based, but I think its the same PDF.
Reading through it also helps pass the time and I figure it will help me get out of the dealer faster since I need to start my drive home as early in the day as possible if I'm going to get to my first stop (Boise) by nightfall.
Still trying to sell my old car - how much I sell it for determines if I can add a few more accessories. Waiting on that to order the chrome grille & driving lights.

There are a lot of Californians moving here for the cheaper houses. Weather is different and we do get the 4 seasons but they are very mild. Even in winter. Snow never stays around long enough to enjoy. <grin> Lots of stuff to do here just like CA.YIPPIE!!!! Finally some word. Miniusa says at VDC and estimated delivery is May 27th (This Sat).
Does this mean at the dealer? If so, I think the earliest we will get it is middle of next week. Monday is a Holiday. I assume everything is closed (dealership, etc).
