Production Week 16 Support Group

My MA said that I should have a week 16 production date (last week in April). I ordered my MINI on Friday (March 31st). It was entered on Monday and I got my production number on Wednesday.

Hers is my Spec:

MCS-JCW
Hyper Blue/Silver w/silver bonnet stripe (v-shaped)
Cordoba Leather Interior w/handbrake/gear shift covers
Piano Black Dash
Premium & Sport (w/Web Spokes)
Chrono Pack
Driving Lights
JCW Indicator

Now the waiting game starts. I am so glad that I have the various forums and websites to keep me occupied. I haven't even taken delivery and already I have a list of things that I want to add. You guys are a great resource and a bad influence.....

Lars,

Don't worry...they all start out that way, its kind of like the "default"...I too once had a Chili Red MCS on order...my MA warned me that it would take few days to update, so never fear!

Yes that is now the official golden rule...to hell with "do unto others as you would have them do to you!"

However I may not be right about the ship my MCS will be on...I thought it was going to be the Orion Leader, set to dock in Southampton tomorrow...but Southampton Vessel Movements site is showing a destination of Las Palmas (SPAIN!) Maybe its just a short detour...or maybe they really meant LOS Angeles and got confused.

Owner's Lounge was updated for my MINI and it says that it is Scheduled for Production. Speaking to a representative they said that the estimated completion date is April 21st. One step closer....

Production date is April 21st (our 16th wedding anniversary). Ordered April 3rd and got production number the same day. AskMini stated on April 11th that pruduction is on April 21st.

Buying for the wife. Seems we just got the Liquid Yellow in a nick of time. Also the cloth seats too just in time.

MA stated 3 months till delivery. We are in Colorado. That would put us somewhere in July for delivery but I think it may be sooner than that.
I would assume that the ship would be going to the west coast. I have been reading it takes the ship anywhere from 3-4 weeks to get to the west coast from Southhampton.

The wait begins!!

Yes, well my MCS loves authentic cuisine and has good taste I'm frustrated, all I want my MA to do is call me and tell me I'm on the boat and then I'll go back to life until I get the call that its at the VDC.

Hi Prod week 16 peeps!

I hope you don't mine me popping in as I am a week 15 person.

My MINI was completed on the 12th and went to the dock on the 13th, but is now sitting there waiting for the next cruise ship destined for the West Coast. I noticed a couple of Left Coasters in this group and figure we will probably make the cruise over at the same time (I missed the last West Coast ship by a couple of days )

Anyone have any info on the when the next West Coast bound ship is due to arrive at South Hampton?

Yippie!!! Our car is in the paint shop (liquid yellow) with an estimated completion of April 21st.

I'd like to know how often a ship goes to the west coast (we are in Colorado)?

How does one find there VIN number or when is that given out?

Just got off the phone with my dealer,,, my MCS started as Week 17 and then got pushed ahead to Week 16. According to the dealer, it is in the paint shop and is scheduled for completion on Thursday, April 20th.

Looks like I will have my MCS in Purple Haze just in time for cruising the town on my 41st birthday in May...

the month will pass soon enough. This mini thing is getting quite addictive, and am laying out the plan to make mine a lil warrior.

Already received 3 pulleys (supercharger, crank and alternator) from Atla, although they will probably sit on the shelf until the fall allowing for some break in miles. I will be picking a cold air intake and will get a header and a Borla exhaust which will make for a nice weekend of install projects. Finish out it with a ECU tune and it should be good for a clean 200 hp.

Hello,

Order was placed 04/03/2006. I believe my mini is scheduled for Production Week 16, 04/22/2006, from my MA. Both automated and live ASKMINI has no firm date yet. Maybe that's good since today I found out the dealer got a minor detail wrong. They ordered the Sport Package with all season run flats, while I ordered the Sport Package with the 17" Web Spokes with HP run flats. Hopefully my MA can get it changed.

Details:

2006 MCS, CR/S
Premium
Sport w/17" Web Spoke
Cold Weather
Convenience
LSD
Chrome Line Exterior
Chrome Line Interior
Rear Fog Light
Panther Black Leather
Anthracite Interior Surface
Center Arm Rest
Parking Distance Control

The list is long because the mini needs to last at least 8 years of commute driving. Wife doesn't like be going through so many cars.

Later!
