There is a very small, inexpensive aftermarket armrest available which mounts above the parking brake. Should my right arm start feeling homeless on long drives, I'll look into one of those.

Just called the ASK MINI number (thanks to this site I found out about such a thing), and my Mini has an estimated completion date of April 22nd (this Saturday).
Mine will be coming in on the West Coast, so I'm not sure how much longer until it gets here, but the wheels are in motion! So to speak. ;-)

I'm right in the middle of you guys. Completion for ours is April 21st going to Denver, CO.
ASKMini says in paint shop. My MA says a 3 month wait. We ordered in April 3rd. I hope it's sooner than that.
I've been told that the ride from England to the West coast of the U.S. is three weeks on the boat.

I guess my MCS is not scheduled for week 16, boo hoo! :( The online and askmini still shows as scheduled for production with no set date. Well maybe I can still add the silver bonnet stripes and correct wheels added.
Happy waiting for all you week 16 people!!

all the dates can change on a moment's notice. yesterday (4.19) the auto system said in the paintshop, complete 4/20, and the human said in final production, complete 4.19
today (4.20) the auto system says awaiting transport to the dock, the human says it was done on the 18th and is waiting at the dock, but best of all WW's site says it was at the dock the morning of the 20th and is booked on the Freedom to depart the 21st!!
of course, until it shows loaded and departed, anything can happen...
miniTX, call the hospital again, your baby may already be born?

I experienced the same difference between live person & automated info: the computer voice says its in the paint shop and will be done on the 22nd, the live voice says its in the paint shop and will be done on the 21st. At least they agree on one thing!
I'm on the West Coast also. I'm not convinced they can get it from the factory onto a ship leaving port just two days later (the DON QUIJOTE), but I figure at the latest it leaves on May 3rd on the MAERSK TEAL. Once I know the sailing date I'll have a clearer idea of when I need to fly down to the dealer to pick it up.

Any other West Coaster awaiting for a ship?
My Mini was completed yesterday and the minitracker showed the status change to awaiting transport last night. I guess it is time to see what cruise it will be on. Who knows, the little guy may make it on the WW Freedom today. That would be a quick turn from assembly line to the ship, although the ship does not depart until 1900 tonight so it might make it.
ASKMini says today that ours is awaiting transport too. These are the ships leaving for the west coast of the USA in April and May. Anybody going to the West coast?
Here is the latest schedule from WW (www.2wglobal.com) website.

My MINI is done!
Greetings fellow motorers!
Hey! I'm in the same boat as you, perhaps literally. My MINI was completed last night and is now headed for the port. Online still says its in production, but the automated system at 866-ASK-MINI says "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit". Yes!
Now we just have to see which ship my MINI makes.

866-ASK-MINI says mine is at the port awaiting shipment. Right now, it is only 2.5 hours to the WW Freedom sailing so I am sure loading is wrapping up since it is 4:30 pm in South Hampton. Of Course, K-Line also has the Emden sailing today arriving May 4th. Hope it makes it today, otherwise the next WW sailing to Charleston is 4/26 on Undine and on K-Line, the Franconia on 4/25 arriving May 7th.

tracking
here's the shipping line's website: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
select the autocargo link on the right and put in your VIN.
[edit: to clarify, this is WW's site. K-Line's was posted earlier in the thread.]
once you get your ship name and booking number, you can search on them to find out the ship's itinerary and other VINs on board.
with the ships name you can go to this tracking site:
http://www.sailwx.info/
and put in your ship's name to find out where it is right now.
pretty cool...

Mine is show awaiting transport,,, WW is showing booked and received on the WW Freedom that sailed Friday night, but not showing that it got loaded.
Guess I have more time to decide whether I want the dealer to install a few Dinan upgrades before final delivery... Hmmm, supercharger boost upgrade, larger throttle body, intake and programming taking it to the good side of 200 HP all still covered by warranty... Decisions, Decisions.
Next three ships sailing are the Don Quijote on 4/23, the Uniden on 4/26 and the Patriot on 4/30. Don Quijote stops in Brunswick, GA before heading to Port Hueneme, Calif and the Uniden and Patriot makes stops all the way down the east coat.
