PIAA's

im in the midst of buying all the chrome options for my coop. didnt want to spend all that cash for the mini fog lights, so i got PIAA's. my mini is gunsmoke and black with black stripes. do you think that black fog lights will go with the rest of the car? also, does anyone know about the air restriction when the set of 4 fog lights are installed on the bottom grill? it looks f'ing awesome but does it effect performance? thanks.

depends on what else you do. If you go with an aero grill & dark rims, yeah, black fog housings would look better. Stay with the chrome grill, go with the chrome fogs.

For me, i have always had trouble with the PIAA relay boxes. They always melted in my other cars, and with the bulbs that PIAA send with the lights, not any 10000 watt deals.

I have a set of hella's on my beater subaru that i have had no problems with. (other than cracked lenses, but that was my fault....) the wiring & relay are much more heavy duty than anything i ever got with a set of PIAAs (or that i saw with CATZ). I am thinking abotu a set of driving lights for my MCS, looking at the hella 500's and the compact Ralley 3000's.

there are plenty of posts on the ALTA 4-light bar. Great looking, but a bit low for driving lights. Better for fogs. Check out the int/Ext forum....

good luck, and welcome!

No problems with air restriction with four down low.

BUT, why would you have FOUR fog lights??? A bit of overkill? You probably cant have them all on legally in many states.

I'd recommend 2 fogs & 2 driving lights. 4 fogs are a waste me thinks.
