AWESOME!!!!!!!

The Terrier has just landed too! My MINI has been discharged...OH MY GOD...HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO WAIT NOW?!?!?!? NOOOOO!!! Sorry for the random outburst of energy, but its surprising that I have any left due to the redeye flight I just took from L.A. back to Orlando. 10PM to 6AM, and only a 4 hour flight. Crazy time changes. I don't know whether I should go to sleep now or tuff it out. lol

Blammo, I know how you feel mine is being loaded on the truck today for the long trip to California from New York. They tell me it takes about 3 weeks. I can't stand the wait.

Picked ours up yesterday...car is sweet!!!! I'll be posting some more pics shortly in my member gallery in the next couple days. My wife is ecstatic. This will be her first real car after driving nothing but a couple Chevs and a Kia since she first got her license about a decade ago. Me, geeze, I haven't had real car since my '88 Saab Turbo and my '82 VW Vanagon. Nice to be driving something made out of actual thick steel again (Currently have an '05 Kia Sportage for myself ). Just have to wait until I move back to Cali in July, then I can go to Mountainview outside San Jose and finally order my own at long last after obsessing over these cars since the concept was unveiled like 8 yrs ago.
Well, it's time to go do a little motoring with my wife...

I want mine! *falls over*

...

Okay, I'm better now. So how many week 10 people are still waiting? As the chances of delivery increase, I'm finding more ways to occupy my time. Like maybe working a little harder at school... lol

ohmyspokes, can you give us some more info? Like when it reached the port? What port was that? How long at the VDC? When did your dealer call to give you that date?

I know...too many questions... lol

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hey Jonathan, my MINI was on the Integrity, which reached the NY port around 3/23. My MA called that day to schedule delivery. I could have picked it up a few days earlier, but I had scheduling issues on my end. My dealer is near the Philadelphia area.

Oh wow! This is REALLY stressful. There's another thread where people haven't even seen their MINI leave Southampton for a month, I feel really bad for them when I've just been complaining about it being an extra week. Either way, its stressful for everyone, because we all want our MINIs.

In my case, I'm jealous you can get yours so quick, when my dealer thinks mine won't be in till next weekend! It's already been in the USA for a few days now, and he still has no scheduled delivery. Or if he does, he won't tell me. hmm

Thanks so much for the info,
Jonathan

Jonathan mine was pretty close one day off, of course that is delivery to the dealer, so if your having anything added it might take a day or two more, hang in there and don't forget you will still get yours before me . Don't forget to post pictures cause I have to live through you guys till mine arrives.

My delivery date on the OL was originally 3/20/06. then on the 20th got changed to 3/24. It got to the dealer on 3/25. Then had to wait a week to get options installed and picked it up yesterday. Talk about a really stressful week. I really would have preferred to be in a coma

Finally! My MCS arrived at the dealer last night... They'll be adding my accessories over the next few days (JCW wheels, alarm, etc.) while we do the paperwork via FedEx... Supposed to get shipped out (truck/train) probably Saturday or Monday next week, and then 2-3 weeks until it makes it's way from NY to LA...

I'm jealous of all those that are picking them up at the dealer already! But in my case, I would only be going into production this month if I'd kept my order local, so can't help it, I guess...

These next few weeks are going to be tough!

Hey, just to update this group. I have recieved my MINI Cooper S! Hopefully everyone in this group has gotten theirs by now. If not, hopefully very soon! Unless you live on the west coast, then be patient for another couple weeks. It'll all be worth it.

Anyway, I've got pics in my gallery, but I have a thread for any discussions related to my MINI in "MINI Talk".

Thanks for the nice support group week 10 everyone. It's be fun, but now the real fun starts.

West Coast Week 10 people?

Have any Week 10 buyers on the West Coast received any news or cars?

Anyone heard anything about the Blue Hawk's estimated time of arrival? Since it left March 16th for the West Coast, it should be here any day.

How did the dealer handle the 06 MCS Memory options?

Did your dealer ask you what settings you wanted the Vehicle Distribution Center to use for the Memory options? If so, how did they advise you of what options your 06 could be set for?
