Ok, so the next question is, how long does it usually take before they deliver it from the ports to the dealers???

To find out what boat you're on, go to www.2global.com and select "Cargo Tracking", then "Auto Cargo", then enter your VIN where it says "Cargo ID" and select "Track". If you're registered, it will give you a lot of info, including "Voyage". This will give you the dates for arrival and departure of each port on the voyage.

To see where your ship is go to www.sailwx.info, select "ship tracker", then select "Find specific ship by name or callsign". Either put in Integrity or it's callsign, WDC6925. Either way, it will take you to a map you can zoom in or out, and move around by clicking on it to center.

Good Luck
wish I had made it onto the Integrity...

My Mini Cooper S was ordered on February 22, 2006 in California. The tracking feature in the Owner's Lounge on the Mini USA website says my car was built on March 7, 2006. A few days later the tracking feature said my car was awaiting transport at the port of exit. I called BMW today and all they could tell me is the car is awaiting transport. They didn't tell me anything about a week number, loading date, freighter line/name anything. I sent an email to my saleswoman, but yet to hear anything from her.

I do not know how some people seem to know all about their US arrival date, the ship name and course, and more. If anyone can tell me anything about my week number, possible shipping date, etc., I would be very appreciative.

Go to the Owners Lounge, click on "your mini", select "Service Log", this should show you your Mini's VIN.

Use this in the instructions I gave a couple of posts ago, hopefully you'll find your baby's berth.

Good Luck

Thanks, I hate first gear.

Anybody remember a Bill Cosby routine from the early 70's about driving in San Francisco in a Volkswagen? He really hated first gear...

On the boat

Yeah..
our Cooper is on the Integrity. Checked with my sales guy and he confirmed it will get into Charleston on the 22nd!!!
I'll to go to the Owner's Lounge as I think the guy at AskMini told me a wrong letter or I misheard a letter as the car never showed up on Wilhelmsen's site. I've been tracking the Integrity by way of: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...l?call=WDC6925
By the way, if you've been looking for the ship's call-sign, it's the last 7 letters and digits of the link (ie: WDC6925)
The Integrity is almost to the US!!!

Durn it to heck!!

Stupid stupid...all excited over nothing...who to believe? :impatient My salesman and AskMini both corroborate that our Mini is on the Integrity. Wilhelmsen's web site say it's going out on the Terrier on the 19th. I'm going to go with the odds and think it's on the Integrity still.
And to dude who's wife laughed...mine isn't laughing as this will be mainly her car.

Thank for directly replying to my post. It helps. The reason it took so long to thank you is that it took this long to find the Week 10 thread again!

Photos of minis on dock

Getting desperate to find my mini.
Used Google Earth to find Southampton harbour, found a cargo ship with what appears to be minis parked on dock beside it, took some pictures and attached them in my gallery, check it out. Hey, it keeps me busy...:impatient

I checked Wallenius Wilhelmsen today and it looks like my MINI is booked for the Terrier! Woohoo! Two problems, one, their website is down, two, I haven't found a way to track the Terrier yet. SAILWX doesn't have any information on it. Anyone have some ideas how to track it?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Okay their website is back online, but does anyone know how to track the Terrier? SAILWX shows no information on the Terrier... :(

Terrier

According to the Coast Guard, the Terrier's callsign is LAKA4. If you enter that into Sailwx it identifies it as the Terrier, but has no other info.
Any other ideas?

We may not be able to track the Terrier. Try checking the Freedom... there has been no recent plot information for months now. So we might meet the same unfortunate scenario with the Terrier. They just aren't giving their coordinates up.

Things like arrival usually get delayed in the updating system. They are too busy unloading the boat and getting it checked etc, to update the online system. I'm sure you'll see a change soon enough.

You're welcome. I'm no expert though, this is going to be my first MINI and its just getting loaded on the Terrier today. I'm just assuming that the system would be delayed when it is docked, due to all the other things they have to do. Seems to be the most logical.

Jonathan, I guess I can't tell time because it just checked in, it will probably dock during the night, and unload in the morning.
