Took delivery in AZ today!!!

I ordered a MCS on Feb 3rd and was planning on waiting for 6-8 months. My salesman called me yesterday with a car that was almost exactly what I ordered. So instead of waiting I decided to buy. The only diff was the interior and the radio. I upgraded to the tartan red with panther and lost the Harmon Kardon, oh well.

Now to the inportant stuff my car! Astro Black all around w/ tartan Red interior. Premium, Sport and Cold Weather and of course the limited slip. Tinted windows, floor mats and LoJack. I personally didn't want the LoJack but it was installed and i figured it wouldn't hurt.

Thats my story. She has no name yet and I think Tortilla Flats is calling my name this weekend. To non AZ people its a resturant in the middle of nowhere with great winding mountain roads to get there.

Wow...congrats on the earlier purchase! Great specs...you can go aftermarket audio, if you don't enjoy the stock one. And welcome to NAM, too!

TheHutch,

First things first: Will we see you in Vegas?

Now, with that out of the way, Welcome to NAM

I have the stock radio which is good enough for me (half deaf anyway) but I understand if you spend the bucks you can get a Good aftermarket, better than the HK.

welcome aboard! The same thing kind of happened to me. Tuls had waited almost a year for his and I went in for what was suppose to be a "can I afford to buy a MINI let alone wait forever for it?" trip...then it turns out a woman had just called to say she wouldn't be getting hers and glory be, it matched mostly what I wanted! 2 hours later I was a new mom.
Congrats
We go to the Pavillions car show most Saturdays if you're ever in the area feel free to stop on by.

I thought I had been everywhere in AZ with my MINI, but I've never been to Tortilla Flats (to my recollection :P LOL)

Welcome aboard TheHutch! Hope you enjoy your MINI.

Thanks for all the greetings. I may swing by the Pavillions Saturday night. My buddys dad goes every sat and i don't think he has missed one in the last five years. He is a classic muscle car guy though. What time do people generally arrive and leave?

Took her to tortilla on Friday. What a blast. I continued on 88, followed the dirt road for 22 miles. Nothing like breaking in a new black car with 22 miles of dirt road. It was pretty cool, the sceanery was absolutly beautiful. Canyon then Apache then Roosevelt Lakes. At times I felt as if I was in a rally race. I would recommend to everyone not concerned with a dirty car or possibly a pebble chip. Otherwise turn around a couple of miles past tortilla. To me cars are ment to be driven not shown. Approximatly 200 miles round trip, not bad for the first drive. Not to mention quite dirty.

That's the spirit! Best views are from dirt roads.... I think. Well, let's find out! Don't park on the weeds!! And welcome.
