Where on earth are the other production week 7 soon-to-be MINI owners??? Surely I'm not the only North American to be in this production week. I do get a sense of ease knowing it's lucky number 7. But where are you all? Are you getting as eager as me?

My baby just moved from ON ORDER status to SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION . Awesome!

Huh? . . . What's that? . . . What did I order? . . . WELL LET ME TELL YOU!

Has anyone ever tried to figure out the percentage of those waiting for new Mini's who are actually active on NAM? I'm a Week 4 person and I have only found two others that were on the Boheme with me.

Hey Gilbert,

Just wanted to let you know your car is born and is all together! It is now at the dock waiting for a boat to pick it up and bring it here to the states. Its actual production date was today. So it was finished today!

Hope you have a great day!

Hey kiddoc, ask your MA for your VIN. Chances are your car may be done, too!

Mine was finished on Thursday, and "Released to Carrier". I checked the Wallenius Wilhelmsen web site and it said I was booked on the Courage, but now I check in and they don't have any info on that VIN. It must yo-yo a bit before it gets settled which ship it goes on.

Heres the spec by the way...

MCS CR/W White Bonnet Stripes
JCW
Sport
Cold
Convience
Auto A/C
OBC
Cruise
Red Dash
Chrome int
grey/black leatherette
Red shift ****

I was checking out the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site to see if I could track my MINI but my VIN is not accessing any of their records. Is there another shipper that my MINI could be with?

Mini uses 3 shipping companies. WW, Kline ( http://www.kline.com/ ) and NYK ( http://www2.nykline.com/home/index.html )

A couple of us over in the week 6 group got a ship at the end of last week. I'm on the Falstaff (WW) or Phoenix Leader (NYK) and another is definitely on the Phoenix.

Unfortunately, WW is the only one that has any sort of decent online tracking. My VIN initially showed up on WW then disappeared so I'm not yet sure what ship I got.

When you finally get notice that you have shipped, ask your MA about what ship you are on.

PurpleHaze,

You wouldn't know which ship your MINI's on, would you? Mine's listed on the MAERSK WAVE. WW status shows BOOKED and RECEIVED AT TERMINAL. My MINI's waiting for it's ship to come in, I guess, if it's not there already.

Thanks for the info., I'll keep checking, of course, I can't really think of doing much else with my spare time until the baby is delivered.

Looks like mine is sitting on the dock till the 26th. Booked on the Courage who hasn't reported a position since the 19th. Then it'll be taking it's sweet time docking in first New York, then Maine and onto SC. >_<

mini usa reports i'm on a boat, don't know which one. i left on or about the 18th and it doesn't seem like either of the other two carriers have sail dates that coincide with my date/location. so i assume i'm on the falstaff, but WW has no record of my VIN. no worries i guess. i'm in transit.

Check with your MA. They'll be able to tell you what boat your MINI is on.

The Courage has to be the slowest boat evar. I've renamed it "Trundle Butt." So much for a quick turnaround. :D It was all going so well, too.

Hmmm... ASK-MINI says "in transit", WW website used to say it was booked on Courage, now it can't find anything. MA says its still at the dock. Ah a double edged sword this whole tracking thing is... My MINI is in some sort of ethereal logistical limbo...

...time keeps slippin' into the future...

Hopefully not the Bermuda Triangle . . . seems as though VIN's, among other things, mysteriously vanish there.

As for mine, the WW site says my ship set sail on 20-02-06. That means my MINI has set sail with a port arrival of 28-02-06 at NY, USA.

----> How do you come up with names for your MINIs??? Perhaps I should pose this as a new thread. I am curious, though. What should I name mine? What should my inspiration be?

You shouldn't have said that. Now it's back to checkin' ask-mini every six hours.
