How do you possibly wait 6 hours? I try to hold back to once a day.

GRosCoopster, My car was released to carried on the same day yours was. Maybe I'm hitching a ride with you. I can only hope. Of course mine needs to stay aboard and jump ship at SC port.

I figured my car would have left around the 20th or 21st. Apparently though I missed the boat. :(

Sweet. Just taked to my MA, he said it is due in port on the 1st. Why I didn't ask the name of the ship I don't know. So for clarification, do MINIs bound for Pittsburgh jump boat at NY or SC? I would think it would be NY since its closer, but I thought I heard some where it was SC.

The wait is gonna kill me. I don't understand how a car can sit so long on a dock.

Checkmate with no checkers? Not even checkers on the badging or door sills?

Just no checker on the side panels...
I love the interior of the Checkmate and prefer the Bonnet striping on the checkmate to the standard. So in fact, it is pretty much checkmated...
I also got the Parrot EVO Bluetooth kit, and will be getting the blitzsafe ipod interface.... As most prospective MINI owners I am a bit obsessive... Tracking the ship daily...

The Courage hasn't updated in over 7 days. This is really starting to get aggrivating. It last updated on the 19th. Now that my car is supposedly on the Courage it's kinda pissing me off. So far the WW site hasn't actually said the car is on the ship. It says it's still supposed to be on the ship.

No update in 8 days. Now my car has dissappeared from the WW site. What's up with this? Ask MINI says it's still waiting on a boat and no shipping info available. OL is, as always, totally useless. :(

Sorry to hear about your troubles finding you ship and its precious cargo . Hopefully, it's on it way like mine is.

The Maersk Wave is definitely near the Eastern Seaboard. I'm wondering how much time it will take from the time it's taken off the boat to the time it's delivered to the dealership. I'm in VA so I'm not too far.

:D Found out it's on a K-Line ship. It will be here before the WW ship would have.

It has not checked in on the sailwx site in almost a year:
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...tml?call=3FWI7

Any idea what company it is with?

Hi Bolus
Decided to try the Kline site you so thoughtfully posted above, and found this page
http://www.kline.com/PCC-RoRo/schedu...ticshuttle.asp

which lists the Franconia as having sailed on Feb 25,due in Baltimore on March 7
so, if my car is truly on board, all is well and on schedule
thanks for the links to the other Mini shipping lines

Caroline

Hey cool. I'm glad you found it. Unfortunately there is no ship tracking at the port of Baltimore that I can find. http://www.marylandports.com/

But at least you know the schedule. My Mini is on the Pheonix Leader of NYK. I cant find it on the tracking sites, their webpage doesn't have its schedule, and NYK isn't answering my emails. And then my MA says the MINI will arrive in Portland "around" the end of the month. It's enough to drive a person crazy

Redcoat . . . thanks for the link. It makes it much easier to check the ship's postion out at sea. Wont be long now!

Well this just, er--well it ain't blowin' up my skirt! Just got an e-mail from my MA. Even though my car was finished on the 17th, it's still sitting on a pier somewhere waiting for a ride. Someone ought to do a study--why some folks will wait months just to have the car started, then it's done and shipped in days, while others get the thing made quickly, and then nothin'. So now it's back to 5 or 6 more weeks. Sheesh. Well, I guess I shouldn't complain--the original estimate was for May delivery, and I was stoked about that because the first dealer I went to said 8 or 9 months.

8-9 months? Do you mean 8-9 weeks? Hope it's weeks!

Nah, the dealer in Phoenix said that many months for MCS, up to 11 months for MCSC! That's why 3-4 months from another dealer a little farther away seemed tolerable. I'm cool.

Mine waited 12 days at the port before getting a boat so I feel your pain. And my dealer in Portland said originally the wait was 11 months but if it arrives at the end of march like she says then that would only be 7 months since I ordered.
