Cooper for a Cooper

Hi all,
New to the forum and learning the "ropes to skip and the ropes to know."
I have found the members here helpful and if you want to say hi, feel free.

I am Don Cooper (English/Scottish family and not related to John) but it is appropriate that I have a love affair with this great marque. Now a E46 M3 driver (modified, of course), but previously enjoyed classic minis when I lived in Europe. Ordering a MCS JCW soon (don't want a 2007) and am working out details with a west coast tuner now so that the car is delivered there for early mods (I live in S. Florida).

All ideas on improving the factory JCW are gratefully accepted.

Hi Don, welcome aboard. Congrats on the MCS order! I would love to own a M3 someday.

You'll find plenty of mods on here, but I'll leave that to the pros. Just wanted to say Welcome! Any plans to track the MINI?

Thanks, Kellzir and RCristiano for the welcome. Kellzir, there are great CPO M3's with low mileage you might consider. RCristiano, I will track some but still want it streetable. Working with M7 on ways of enhancing the JCW.

Hi, Welcome to NAM.
I know this isn't for a JCW specifically but there is some really good info for modifing the S, and mods that aren't completed by the JCW.

Hope you enjoy the MINI as much as the rest of us!

Actually, your thread is also on target for the JCW. RandyBMC's MC2 article and his follow up was a great find. Thank you.

Welcome, Don! Sounds like the car will be a monster. Are you giving up the Audi or the M3 (or the bike)?

Thanks Chris. The Audi has to go (only 15K miles) and not enough room for the MCS and A4 in the garage. Want to go to Mini's on the Dragon (hope to meet interesting people & learn more) but don't know if I can get the JCW in time. So I am looking at other hi performance build options on a base S.
