Just picked up my MCSc today!!
I had the good fortune of being 2 hours away from the nearest dealer. A nice 70 degree day with the top down plus the H/K stereo made it hard to stay below 3000 RPM. I am so happy with the decision to buy one! I can't wait to break the car in and start modding. Even the wife and kids like the car which is a huge plus. I guess Cool Blue has that effect on people. I have gone out to the garage 3 times this evening to have one more look at her before I turn in for the evening. I really have to think of a name for her, as the car has so endeared herself to me that it seems lke she is part of the family already. I know I'm rambling and I apologize, but I think the Mini bug has bitten me hard.

I want to see some photos! Sounds like you are loving your MINI as much as the rest of us, that bug will really bite after the break-in is over and a few mods are done! Glad to hear your enjoying your MINI.
It's nice to be hanging around people who go to the garage 3 times to have a look at their new toy!
I'm almost ready to get a MCSC (CR, black bonnet stripes), so for now, I have to make due with turning on the computer to look at a picture.:impatient

The best part is the feeling your having when you think about "Cool Blue" in the garage. That feeling only gets better and the smiles don't go away either. Enjoy the ride. Don't think too hard about the name cause as you say "She" will let you know what she wants to be called. "Spike" was Spike from the first time I went on MINIUSA and decided to buy him.
I am just about one week away from picking up my MCS Cabrio and the excitement is already unbearable. The boat with my car just passed through Halifax yesteray and will be in New York tomorrow where my MINI will be unloaded.
Man, I share your excitement and see myself doing the same next weekend !!!
Enjoy it in health - and best wishes for years (decades?) of great motoring !!

Thanks for all the responses. I spent today detailing. I wanted to get all the bugs off the front, and put down another coat of wax outside and some protectant inside. I got the 3M clear bra and am so happy that I did. I am located in FL. I do not know how to add that to my sig- if some will let me know how to do it, I will put it in there. Pics will have to wait till tomorrow, as it is too dark outside to do it this evening. Thanks again for letting me know I'm not nuts!
Click on "User CP" at the top of the nav bar on the left. Then look for Edit Profile in the same area when you get to the new page.
Welcome to the wonderful world of motoring!
You'll be happy to hear that the break-in rev limit is 4500, not 3000, too! At least I think it's 4500, could be 4000, it's been 27,000 miles since I had to worry about it.

Thanks bee. I was able to make the changes. Look for pics tomorrow. That is if I can find the time to take them, as I will spend most of the day behind the wheel if I can help it.

If you have them posted on another website:
1. right-click on the image and chose "Copy image location" or "Copy image address" (depends on what browser you use, but it will be something like that)
2. in your thread, type "[img]" (without the quote marks)
3. next to [img], paste the image address
4. right after the image address, type "[/img]" again without the quotes.
You'll end up with some like this: [!mg]https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/images/dto/nam/header_01.gif[/!mg]
( the ! would be replaced with an i )

It is amazing how perfect strangers will come up to me and ask about the car. Everyone has a smile on their face. I had an E46 M3 cab a car that cost 2x as much and did not invoke such a response. Even children will turn their heads and smile when this car pulls up. Promote unity- drive a Mini!
