Went in yesterday to order, came home with...

... a brand spankin' new PW/B with Premium, Cold Weather, Fog lamps, Auto trans, Anthracite dash & headline, and black bonnet stripes.

It just got to the dealer this week & was almost exactly what I was going to order.

I'm psyched & shocked & psyched & absolutely having a blast driving it!

Congrats. I just ordered mine and have to wait 8-9 weeks for it. But it the end it will be exactly what I want. You were very lucky to be able to drive off the lot with one.

Unusual for the dealer to have what you want in stock. Congratulations. PW/B is great!

Chicago area dealers (well Patrick and Kanus) usually have really good stock, but odds of it being perfect you are lucky. Check out the Chicago MINI motoring club. I want to see photos, I still haven't come across a PW in person. Have fun motoring, may I recommend Sheridan road. from the city all the way up to the border it is a blast.

Lucky you. Waiting for a mini to arrive is worse than....quitting cigarettes.

Nice to have more Pepper Whites here.

You were lucky to find what you wanted at the dealer, not having to wait is awesome.

Thank you all for the welcome! Car wasn't 100% what I'd wanted, but was so close it seemed foolish to pass it up. (especially after watching everyone here wait and wait ... and wait.)

Earl: NW Suburban Chicago.

Motoron: Patrick definitely had a good selection on the lot (at least for what I was looking for) and a nice MA to boot! re: Sheridan Road -- That's one of my favorites, too. Used to live in Evanston about a block from it. If the weather is good, I'll probably head over there next weekend... but definitely in spring & summer with the sunroof wide open and the sun sparkling off the lake.

RenoMiniCooper: Soon! Went to take pictures this afternoon but the camera battery was dead.

Congrats Makyo!

You are indeed lucky to have found what you wanted on the lot. Although the order and tracking process can be fun, it ultimately becomes frustrating as you wait for your new baby to arrive. I was lucky that I live in NY and the wait time from order day to delivery day was only 5 weeks - those on the west coast are much longer.

I like your color choice as well - it was high on my list too. Best of luck with the car and post some pics when you can!

Ruined for life!

I have to agree: You're ruined for life: no other car, no where, no when, no how will give you as much "WOOO-HOOO!!!" as the MINI Welcome to the maniacal world of MINIs.... Flora Blue

Congrats
I am in Rogers Park and work in Des Plaines. If you see a PS MINI around it may be me. I also couldn't wait the full time for a build to order. I called around and Bill Jacobs had one that was built almost exactly to my specs that was on the boat, so I only had to wait a few weeks. That was torture, I can't imagine waiting any longer.

Picked up my car at Bill Jacobs on Saturday and it looked like they also had cars ready to be bought and drivin off. My MA Christina was very good to work with.
