Funny, I'm going to fly to LA to pick mine from South Bay Mini, how long is your waiting time from placing order to delivery? Although my MA gave me a Feb. delivery, it will be pushed towards March, I'm thinking hard how to persuade him to take the $300 price jump, might just pretend never heard of that.
Have a nice trip home! Take easy on the break in..

Flight is around $105. Not bad and the price is decided when it hits the distribution center. Shouldn't have that extra $500. But I just don't konw how I am going to keep my foot out of her on the way home. How long is the break in period? maybe 100 miles.... since I have 2000 to drive it should be broken in halfway home then .... ticket ticket ticket

Ouch that sucked, is Freedom your best bet now? Hope you can still make it before March.
AskMini just updated my status to 'in transit'.

Yeah, it skips the New York stop that the Integrity makes, so it should get to Charleston a day earlier barring any complications *knock on wood*

Bah, the Ingolstadt is delayed so it may arrive after the Integrity. It's alright though. I've tentatively scheduled my pickup on March 3!

Patiently waiting

My MCS shoul hit dry land on the 14th. There is a horrible storm on the east coast that could possible cause some delays.
I have noticed the week 5 support group keeps dropping fairly low in the posts.
Is there fewer of us here than week 4 and 6?

I'm actually week 5, but find myself posting more in the week 4 production thread - seems to be more action there and some are on my same ship..what's your ship?

Jingu Maru

My mini is on the Jingu Maru, it is due in Halifax on the 14th. I have not been able to track the ship since it left Southampton.
Once it arrives in Halifax they load it on a train to bring it into Vancouver. The long way...
I will take a look at week 4. Thanks.

Ship Delayed at sea

The Jingu Maru is 2 days late at port due to the storm off the east coast. I hope there was no damage...

Still that's a nice shortcut, comparing to crawling through the Panama Canal, what's your estimated delivery date? I have been wondering how much time can be saved if they dock at NY, and put on to a straight train ride to NoCal, BMW must get a damn good rate on the tour de panama trip.
Haven't paid much attention to this thread recently, as there is still such a LONG way ahead for Don Pasquale to go, I'll be going crazy if continue to look at here everyday for another 15 days.

Instead I went shopping, what I have ordered,
  • glove box organizer
  • roof rack
  • bike racks
  • aux audio input
  • 3M clear bra
  • pocketdoc lineout + usb
still thinking,
  • euro parcel shelf
  • rubber floor mats
  • lightweight skid plate
  • trunk boot
  • mud flaps
  • ski rack
  • kayak rack
Plenty of things to do after delivery, hopefully I can spare a little time on the actual motoring

Delivery Date

The dealership said to expect delivery mid to late March. I think it will be here sooner. It will dock on the 16th now and shouldn't take long on the train. Time will tell.
I have done a bit of shopping as well. I had to slow down, my wife was beginning to watch

Man I wish I could track my ship. Hopefully the K Line schedule will update tomorrow. If I'm right it updated every 7 days. :-/

ugh, my ship is delayed even more. now it's delayed 4 days from when it was originally scheduled to reach Charleston. I really hope I don't get charged the extra $500 because of this.

I saw you mentioned an arrival date of 22th, I believe you don't need to worry about missing the dealine, my dealer quotes me a maximum 7 day turnaround time from ship arrival to delivery. Is your VPC located in NJ?

My MCS will spend some time on the train now. I still have to find a way to track that part of the Journey.
2 weeks will pass quickly! My MA is sticking to the mid to late March delivery. The bastards.
