Mystery piece

A large metal tool was in the rear floorboard of Boudreaux when we picked him up. Noticed it when we got home that evening and have no idea what it may be. It is large, 3" X 8" long threaded on one end. Looks like a huge tow hook.

Any Ideas

At first glance I thought it might be the little hook (or pry bar) to take off the plastic center caps for the wheels (it's included in the tool kit in the boot of my Cooper for changing a tire). But upon closer examination I'm guessing with notsoredwhitecooper that its just some tool they have to screw into the MINI to pull on and off the tow truck, and after they removed it and got your MINI on the ground they forgot about it.......

Now that's surpsising.....

We found the same thing in Solitaire when we picked her up...Got so worried that some part has come loose.....so go to the dealer the next day....

Found out that it was .....Yup!!! A tow truck hook that was used to bring our MINI to the dealer!!!!....

Our MA told us we were the first MINI to get their own tow truck hook!!!!!!!
