According to the MINIUSA website, I'm due for delivery on 2-23-06...I'd be willing to bet I'll be on the same truck as Stefanie and others...I'm not sure how long it will take to get the Union Jack decal installed and how long the adhesive needs to set-up prior to taking it out into the elements...I bet I won't be able to take delivery till sometime next week.....but the sooner the better, maybe I'll get lucky!

Shane you are correct......my car should've been released today if not tomorrow. So I should definetly have it by Fri. Hopefully the rest should be motoring within a week.

 

I just checked the Owner's Lounge and it said I have a delivery date of 2/25/06. Someone please confirm that is the date my Mini arrives at the dealer! The wait is unbearable....

^^ my tracking thing says an estimated delivery date of 2/22/06 and I'm currently slated to pick mine up this Saturday (I believe the 25th). Seems as though the owners lounge is, as usual, a few days behind.

Best to just contact your MA. Regardless, the day is certainly getting close!!

 

OL still says I'm "En Route." But I talked to Long Beach MINI today and they expect the car any time.

Bobby said that when a shipment comes in the cars just show up sometime before the dealership opens. They're just there when they open the showroom doors. About half a day to do the inspections and people pick up in the PM. They did not get any cars this AM.

So no real ETA. But I could get a call tomorrow afternoon...

Can't call JetBlue until I know when I'm flying. But I already have my MP3 CDs burned for the drive back north.

The Silver Dart will have performance upgrades installed tomorrow. On Friday
the Shelby stripes go on and it will be ready to go either Friday afternoon or Saturday at the latest. This is good......very, very good.

So Rossii your MINI has arrived in SF area? Man that was fast if it is. Congrats on getting to view your MINI in person, I can't wait to see mine. However, I am going to have to wait until mine is trucked up to Portland. I am hoping to take delivery next week, but I don't know if that is actually going to happen or not.

I spoke to my MA today in Salt Lake City our Mini should arrive either today or tomorrow. Work calls so I've arranged to pick it up on March 1st!

I can't fathom how I managed to wait 6 months for my '02 MCS. Finally, this time I am no longer counting in months or even days. Indeed, it's only a matter of hours until I once again get to experience the thrill of victory, a new Mini......late tomorrow afternoon.

 

Got the call from Long Beach MINI this AM. Mine is here and I'm flying down on Saturday. I'll pick it up just after lunch on Saturday and drive back.

The good news is that work tomorrow will be distracting enough to get me through the last 30 hours. Also, there are 3 MINI coworkers who have been just as giddy as I was all afternoon. Woohoo!

Rossii -- which dealership did you use? I did see a new MCS DS/B on my way up 280 this evening.

I'd post from the dealer, but that seems a little excessive. Though I promised some shots over email to some friends.

A pal just bought a WRX STI in Maine and drove it home to Ohio and I got plenty of play-by-play. That included driving through that huge midwest snow storm when he turned left at Buffalo. His car's nose was so iced over that the outside temp gauge was insulated from the road and was registering 60 degrees from engine heat! So I owe him some shots.

The car is now home I didn't get the car detailed just had them put gas and go. DWF I got mine in Mt View.....my last two were DS/DS, so I wanted a change. The Space Blue is perfect.

I'm getting frustrated. I'm tentatively scheduled to pick up the car tomorrow provided that it arrives today and can get prepped in time. My (new) MA said he'd keep me up to date. I called today and he's not in.. all day. Uhhh.. so am I supposed to drive 3 hours tomorrow or not? Am I supposed to set up my insurance and get the certified check or not? If I'm getting it tomorrow.. at what time?

I just got off the phone with Mike S, my MA...my car along with 4 others (I assume you are one of the 4) is still M.I.A. ....He was getting ready to run across the street and check to see if they came in over night sometime....I was hoping to pick mine up tonight, it's not looking good. I only have a 1 hour drive, so I can't complain too much....I'm still hopeful...
