Thanks, Crashton and Jimbo, but ...

... "Review Order Details" is where I've been looking -- still says "En route." (And, adding insult to injury, WW says that the Freedom is now due in Charleston on the 16th, two days later than originally scheduled.) Sigh.

Hope you all have your Minis soon!

Please add some more pics so that I have something to get me by until my SR gets here.

so far you are SR #2 after DiD I think.

It's weird how the car has the orangey tinge in all pictures, but the color plate looks a lot darker. Do you agree?

I don't think my pictures can add anything more to what DiD's photos have in his "Solar Red Photo Shoot" thread in the Camera Section !

The "orangey tint" is brought out by the sun light, in the dealer's delivery area under artifical light it was hard to tell the difference between Solar and Chili Reds, at night it is a rich dark red looking color..IOW it looks different in every situation !

Check my gallery for more pics.

One week and 550 miles down. Malice is taking a little time for me to get used to. I tend to forget about 6th gear since all cars I've driven for the last 10+ years have been 5-speeds. Clutch is totally different from the other 3 vehicles I drive. And that accelerator being hinged to floor vice on an arm is really strange. Covered in salt today, will be washing later this aftenoon. Now if only my winter wheel/tire combo would come in...

Nice car Jimbo! Cool color & that stripe is what I want for mine, in white. I really like those wheels. Are those 15 inchers?

I took my wife out to breakfast this morning & on the way back found myself at the dealer scoping out MINI's. I found my pride & joy there!!! If all goes right I'll have her in my garage on Tuesday.

Chuck

Here are a couple of pictures for you.

Yes, those are the 15" Delta Spoke MINI Wheels..no additional cost alternative to the "holies"

That bonnet stripe will look good on your "S", they bring it down to the lowest scoop line and looks more agressive than it does on the Cooper.

Picked mine up on Saturday

I picked up my MCSCa on Saturday. Drove it 120 miles through a snow storm to get it home. It handled itself pretty well in the snow, but then, I have been driving in this crap for 14 years, so I know to drive slow.

It's great for the wait to finally be over. I now wish it would warm up a bit so I can put the top down!

I'll post pics when I figure out how to post them here. I took a few at the dealership when it was clean. Now, it's covered with road salt.

Yes, at the dealership!.. I really wanted to drive with it down around my city when I finsihed the 120 mile drive from the dealership, but it was so covered with salt that I grew concerned that the abrasiveness of the crystal may damage something. I have not popped the lid since.

A lot of my friends have asked me why I have a convertible in central Illinois. This is my 2nd, and no mater the weather, there is no way I am going to regret it as long as I get 1 day a year to motor (used to be drive ) with the top down. I am shivering inside in anticipation of that June night where I have the top down miles away from nowhere watching alternately the sky, the road, and the beautiful woman next to me. I really like my car too.

I agree with you about not putting the top down with salt on it. One other thing is the top may not be as flexible in the cold as it is when it's warm out. My Miata owners manual says not to lower the top below 40 degrees, although that's because of the plastic rear window cracking. You won't have that problem. If I didn't already have a convertible I'd have sprung for the MINI one. Cool mornings & evenings with the top down are what motoring is all about. I even motor in my Miata.

She's home! :-)

Hello week 46ers. I picked my MCS up today. What a wonderful car....I'm over the moon. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow.

If anyone is looking for a MINI, Midwestern MINI in Dublin Ohio has got a load of them. Lots of different colors & spec's. Ask for MA Chad Simkins, he's a helpful fellow. Oh one more thing, my original order that got spec'd wrong is still there sitting in the showroom.

I picked up "Arrow" tonight! Everything went great at the dealership and I was delighted to find a free set of rubber mats and cup holder. Bonnet stripes and driving lights are still to come. Here he is, sorry for the crappy pics.

Great looking car Sonic, I really like your taste in colors.

Looks like today is a dry one here in Ohio, but tonight into tomorrow, rain to freezing rain to snow. I best enjoy a motor today because tomorrow is Subaru weather.
