Hello, newbie here

Hello folks, this is a great site. Unfortunately for me, I recently discovered how much i want a mini. I was researching new cars for months and didnt come accross this car for some reason. Anyhow, i bought a 2006 scion tc 2 months ago.

Im not sure if i should just sell my car to a private party or try carmax? I dont want to lose TOO much money though. of course id be sacrificing at least $2000 plus the taxes i paid. Maybe i should just wait a year. I have a tough decision to make. Damn that dark grey mini i saw cruising down the road.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say i envy you all.

Hey there and Welcome! Well...kind of a tough decision only you can make...but whatever you decide, hang out on NAM for a while and drool a bit. Maybe that will help your decision along...

Lots of great info. to be found in here if you decide to get a MINI....

Didn't someone with a MINI sell it to buy a Scion TC? I recall the photos. It seemed a practical alternative for that person's circumstance. The MINI's resale was quite high and the Scion translated to lower payments. Something like that. Not sure if anyone on NAM has traded a Scion TC for a MINI yet. Tough position.

Sell the Tc to a private party, then buy your MINI. Selling to Carmax will only get you wholesale (maybe).

Cheers
