Any Mini Dealers in WI. Wife wants one!

My wife has been talking about a Mini and I want do some preshopping research. A while ago she mentioned that she wanted a cute little car when we retire, now she does not want to wait. Last week we where following a mini and she said " That’s what I want right there!" Are there any dealers in WI? I have not had any luck finding them on the net. A search all ways comes up with a place to get a free price quote but no dealer info.

Not sure where you are in WI, but international mini in West Allis (Milwaukee) is the only mini dealer in the state. I believe its where Peter Egan of Road & Track got his MCS.

Here is their website -

International MINI phone 414-543-3000

Between Milwaukee & Waukesha on 94

Good luck getting the smile off her face after she test drives. Try the 6 speed S with the cold weather package.

A big step for us.

We have always driven bigger cars since we have been together, 14 years this month. It maybe hard to talk me into something so small but I am willing to look. Right now I drive a Full size Dodge diesel truck and she has a Ford explorer sport track. I also am use to my "toys" having big V8 engines. I have 68 Firebird 455CI, 73 Trans Am 455CI and 79 Trans Am 400CI. Diesel is 3.44 / gal and I only get 19MPG. The Ford only gets 22 MPG the toys get? MPG I bet it less them 12 MPG . It maybe time to scale down

NICE collection of Firebirds. My father has a 400/4 speed '79, as well.

FWIW, I got rid of my '99 Firehawk to get an '06 MCS. They both have 6 speeds, but that's about the only comparison - they're completely different. That being said, I am quickly growing to love the MINI. It's every bit as much fun, just in a different sort of way.

I initially feared it would be too small, but was very impressed with the roominess of the interior. Give it a test drive and let us know what you think.

Bought 2 Minis from IA in Milw 10/02. Worked w/ the Brit Anthony. He's a decent guy and knows his way around the car.

It depends on which part of WI you are. I am in Madison, and my MCS was purchased from International (Anthony G. is my Motoring Advisor), in West Allis (Milwaukee). Actually if you are in southern part of the WI. You can have more choice, you can either go to International, Patrick at Schaumburg, IL, or Knauz MINI at Lake Buff. If you are in northen part of WI, I bet the closest one should be around the Twin City.
The MINI is very gas sipping. esp the MC. If you are looking for a fun to drive and gas sipping car, there isn't any contender better than the MINI Cooper.

I'd highly recommend Anthony at International Motors in Milwaukee. I have an MCS on order from him--went there countless times to test drive and just check out minis, and he was always great!

I called International Motors today.

I spoke with a man named Kyle Larson today at International Motors and he seamed pleasant and knowledgeable. Since we have family in the area International Motors seems like the logical choice to me. I was amazed with some of the information. I had forgotten they are owned by BMW. The warranty and maintenance set up seems fantastic. I am not sure about the design of the auto transmission it sounds like a snowmobile transmission. Do they work pretty well? If the car was for me I would go for the 5 speed for sure but Julie may want the auto. I would also want the S but I doubt she will. It looks like we will have to go visit the relatives soon. I was looking at the lease program will have to investigate it more this weekend. It sounded like 1900.00 down and 179.00 / month for 24 months. That is a total of 6196.00 = 258.00 / month not counting tax and registration. I am sure that is for the very cheapest base model but it seems very reasonable to me. Turn it in every 2 years and never have any maintenance or major repairs. I may be mistaken but I will do my homework before I walk in the door. I am somewhat of a PITA for some salesmen. I feel bad for the new guys that get me sometimes. I worked my way through college by selling cars and really enjoyed it. I almost stayed with it after I graduated.

I wish I would have read this before I called. I would have asked for him. Kyle seem OK. Like I said above I will have a very good idea of what the car is all about and prices before I get Julie to test drive it.
