Soon.. 5 more days..

5 more days and I'll have my MINI. Flying from Seattle, WA to Durham, NC to pick it up and drive it back. Going with a friend, should be a nice vacation.

Getting a used 03 PS/PS MC - CVT, #1, #2, #3, NAV, SS+ and some other stuff. 12.5K miles, sounds like it's in great shape. I'll post some pics when I get it.

As a former Audi guy (01 A4 1.8t, 04 A4 1.8t), it's good to see the MINI has really strong internet community. Looking forward to contributing.

think it'd be worth it to buy a middle tier radar detector? i don't think i can borrow or buy something like a Valentine 1 in time.

Damn Son,

That's a heck of a distance to go for a used car. I hope you got a great deal. You can buy them for MSRP here all day long.

Anyhow, enjoy your trip....U must try the Dragon before you go.....It's worth the trip

you could always do what I did last time I had a big road trip... buy a decent radar detector from one of the big box stores near you... take it and use it on the way home... then if it isn't what you want, return it. I saved myself at least one ticket on the way home and justified keeping it because of that... but if you want to get a V1 or something later, just return it. I think some stores have a restocking fee for these types of items, but I got mine at best buy and it was going to be $15 if I remember... which isn't much 'rent'

Nice!! I too am coming from an Audi A4. Mine was a 2000 A4 1.8t. Nice cars, but I am definitely looking forward to getting my mini...
