Purple Haze, Black-eyed Purple anyone????

We have ordered 06 MCS Purple Haze with white top, bonnet strips and mirrors. I have not seen one in person and can't find many pics. Was wanting to know if anyone was willing to share some with us.

You can find some pics of a Purple Haze/ Silver Roof in my User Gallery. We are waiting on the Silver stripes to be delivered to the dealer for installation.

Purple haze is a nice color, since it looks different under different ambient ligthing.

Looks great!!!! thanks for the pics. Most pics of this color show it as dark blue, so thanks for the info on the changing color in different lighting.

The only one I've ever seen on the road definitely looked purple.

Oh, and my 83yo father tells me at least once a week that he's seen a purple MINI (he reports MINI sightings...even tells me if they are Coopers or Ss) and I know exactly what colour he is talking about...

If you see one on a very cloudy day, it starts to look much more like Indi Blue... definately more blue than purple.

Sprinkled on various thread in NAM, I've posted a few of my car. Sorry, no white roof or stripes, but I do like the silver look.

Also, my webspace in progress.... http://spaces.msn.com/members/bekentech/

Thank you for the pics. Did the MINI feel out of place at the Ferro convention??

Actually, I have a Fiero too. For this particular drive, I drove the MINI

In driving the MINI, I miss the mid-engine feel, sounds and overall balance, I also miss the torque of the V6 in the Fiero. However, the MINI being 20 years newer, is much lighter on its feet and more refined a drive. It handles better but cost twice as much to get there. I paid $15K (CDN) 20 years ago for the Fiero (then a very new car) and I paid $30K (CDN) for the MINI. It took me awhile to get used to FWD on the MINI.

Did I feel out of place? Naw. We drive cars like these for the same reasons. Awfully fun to whip around corners and up twisty roads. My MCS is an honorary FWD Fiero with Westcoast Fieros of BC (shameless plug).

Can't wait to see pix of your MINI when it arrives.

Eaakkkk!

MrsDiff and I had a 1984 Fiero SE 2.5L 4 speed when we first got married! Mostly bad Memmories. Though I hope that the MINI is as good in the turns and with the MINI we don't have to worry about the drop throttle oversteer. MrsDiff almost trashed the car due to that!

Hey PurplePeopleEater,

If I may ask, did you design your signature graphic? If so, how? If not, who?

Thanks

I did not design it. I have not such talents. Somebody did it for my husband, Yucca. He did a great job. I will ask YuccaPatrol to PM you or you could PM him. He is friendly.
