I have a 06 MCSm Astro Black / Silver roof...on a ship now... Arrival to Hawaii expected 3rd week oct....

Ordered a Space Blue with Silver roof on 9-10. The Astro Black with Silver was one of the combos I was considering. Sounds great!

 

"Buddha" is in the Birth Canal as I type.

As I suspected there are lots of space blue/silver combos coming for '06...mine's a MCS with cloth, cold weather, LSD, anthracite headliner (alloy patina trim), xenons, fogs, and MFSW as its options -- Zephyr is its tentative name!

 

Mine is MCS space blue/silver/checkmate, lsd, center arm rest, rear fog.

Build week 40.

 

Man, me too, except for the fogs. I did get a silver stripe too. My name's not so majestic though, I think I'm going with Blooper or Blueper. :smile:

 

looks like i'm the only CR/S. so here goes 06 MCS, Chili Red/Silver, silver bonnet stripes, Premium, Cold Weather, all options from sport pack except S-Lites (got a set left over from the previous MINI), LSD, Rear Fogs (yay, i have a full row of toggles this time), Space Cloth (to be replaced by Sparco's Fighers at earliest oppurtunity), anthracite dash and headliner. should be getting to the dealer today or tommorow

 

Waiting for production.

 

Nice spec TooTall -- ours will be "fraternal" twins of sorts. I can't wait to see Space Blue in person!

As for the silver factory hood stripes, I was debating it for a while...but decided to wait and do either some silver vipers or something custom (with a "Z" motif in it for Zephyr, which thanks to DiD I learned was also the name of a former AAA baseball team in Denver). Performance upgrades come first, however, with spark plugs and wires, rear sway bar, 15% pulley, intake from Webb Motorsports.

Any folks out there who ordered British Racing Green with silver roof/mirrors? I think that will also be a striking, good-lookin' combo.

 

SB/S as a lot of them are, I expect.

 

My Hyper Blue/Silver roof MCS is on its way

I put lots in it: Premium/convenience/coldweather packages + all the options of the sport package except the wheels. HK stereo.

Since the roof was silver, my dealer suggested silver would like nice in the interor as well, so I took his advice.

I stuck with the leatherette seats for ease of maintenance.

Thanks DiD! We won't get to see it in person until we pick it up 2 weeks from now. I am sure the pictures don't do justice to the silver roof since the reflective qualities of the silver paint just look gray in the photos.

Makes me a little jealous! I really like the silver roof. I bet there will be many BRG/S soon enough too.

I always said that the hardest part of buying a Mini was picking the color.

I got my wife a Purple Haze/ Silver roof 2006 MCSa. Pics in my user gallery. Like someone mentioned b4, the photos don't do justice to the silver roof. May people have sworn that the roof is actually a soft pruple, rather than silver!!!

Two questions.

1) How does one embed a picture in a post?

2) We have the standard stereo with the IPod adapter. What are the parts I need to get to install XM Satellite?

Looks like I'm the only double silver one here so far. I'm a week 40 (I believe), Dark Silver/Silver MCS. Was gonna go all DS at first, but decided I liked the classic 2-tone look of the Cooper, so went with the new light silver option. Haven't seen any pics of this combo yet, I hope it looks good.
