Nice car. I thought from the title (untoppable sterling) and the handle (zinvestor) that this was a thread praising the UK's economy. It has done remarkably well compared to France and Germany. Shudda known otherwise. Congratulations on the MCSC. Great color choice.
Thanks and answers
Thanks for the kind words.
JDS - No, since I'm a rally (T&D) guy not an autoxer, but that ties in to the back story.
morknmini - I can see how you would get that impression, but it is StIrling, not StErling, and the handle can be explained by:
700 bottles of Zin on the Wall, 700 Bottles of Zin ... as well as several hundred additional French, Italian, Australian, Chilean, South African and American bottles. Wine has been my hobby for over 30 years.

No Spanish wine? Some of their best wines are more accessible now (in terms of availability if not price). I used to love wine, but have developed an allergy to it (or I have always had the allergy but not the sensitivity to notice). A noble hobby and an excellent investment compared to alternatives. [Sorry, I read stirling as a typo.]
Wine Answer
Although this will probably get this thread moved to the o.t. group. The only 2 varietals I'm not fond of are Barbera and Tempranillo, although I have a fair number of Sherries.
Trending Topics
I was in Spain last month and clients insisted I try some wines from Galicia. Many people have the mistaken impression I am a gourmet when I am more of a gourmand or glutton. So I get to sample all sorts of stuff when I travel and end up having to make cryptic remarks or, if I don't know the language, meaningless gestures. I've been away from wines for so long that it would have to be a sensational bottle (I can still name a few of these although I can no longer afford them) for me to care for the taste; otherwise my reaction would be similar to an infant's--bleah. Have we launched into OT or ThePurist?
