Man that's some crazy hours! I don't have the stamina to do that kind of thing any longer. At 49, I'm just not interested in 12-14-16 hour days, no matter how many toys I want

Hang in there my friend. It has to end soon or you'll be in hospital instead of behind the wheel of your new car!!

Personally, now that I know where my car is and when it'll arrive I'm much more relaxed. Just don't send any hurricanes spinning in to the North Atlantic for the next 10 days

ururk: I guess just being able to vent with others in the same boat (both literally and figureatively) helps!

Steve: I hear ya...with a completion date of 8/10 I'll have to start visiting the National Hurricane Center site, along with the WW site!

Heh. Yeah, I'm going to try getting some sleep tonight - one coworker said, "your eyes are bloodshot". Contacts do that, when up so late. Anyhow, it's the weekend shift for me. Normally it isn't like this, but we've been swamped with work, and I had one job of updating a database, which I worked on at home. Took forever (two weeks of nights).

I'm in college, so used to the night shift, so to speak. And you'd hate to see the hours I work DURING school.

But now back to our scheduled program..."Days of our MINIs"

I am much the same (the relaxed part...)......... and I will be babysitting the grandkids ( "Topeka Red" , age 3 and "Queen" Maeve , age 2) in exotic Topeka Kansas when "Jenks" arrives at the dealership in Pittsburgh. Gives those good folks time to install the Aero, JCW Air Filter, and JCW Suspension kit while I'm happily busy being ridden hard and put away wet. I am intrigued about the "Invisishield" and will do some research on said accessory to see if it will also be added to the goodies.....then again, maybe all the protection I need is a big green triangle...............

Looking forward to seeing lots of pics of Mr. Bean and Ururks Mini soon, with their smiling faces as well........

How much time from Mini Factory to Ship?

Just curious, is it feasible to be completed on August 10, and be on a ship leaving that same day (Carmen)? Or is it more realistic to be on one leaving on 8/13 (Patriot)? Or later ???

It might be dependent on the shipping company, but WW states the cargo must be at the docks for 4 days. This is from their website. I don't know how "K" Line handles things.

Two days to two weeks (the later being more likely)

I was completed on 7-20 and was scheduled for a ship leaving 8/5. Got bumped all around and ended on one that left 8/1.

WW must not enforce the four day rule because my car completed production Aug. 1 and shipped on the Maersk Wind (a WW ship) on Aug. 2.

Oh Horror Of Horrors

My MA is on vacation this week! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh . I'm under the sneaking impression that even if my MINI did come in this week, I still couldn't get it . I know, this will build character, blah blah blah. I could care less about character.

Convenient excuse

My MA had a similar excuse, ururk. He's 'having surgery' tomorrow, so my MCS won't be ready until Wednesday. Some people have no concept of priority.

I'm ready to get my hands on my new MINI. I leased a MC about 18 months ago, totaled it an accident, and bought a Honda Accord in a moment of insanity. After coming to my senses just recently, I ordered my MCS in June, and am almost back in the MINI family!

Only 48 hours 55 minutes 12 seconds until pickup. WOOHOO!

Well, I'm supposing another MA could turn the MINI over to me, right? I would NOT expect her to give her vacation up for me and my car, but I would think they can just let another MA take care of it.

Just for the record...

Vacations are important ! I do not wish for my MA to skip her vacation to get my MINI to me earlier. However, I sorta wish I could get some status info from them, even though she is out for the week .

I did call today to check on the delivery status, and the MA was mentioning it would take some time to put all the dealer installed options on. Which is funny, since I didn't order any . Now I'll just have to see if the factory stuff is in order.

As for the lease on my deceased Cooper, the leasing company takes out gap insurance, but it wasn't necessary as the value of the MC went down so little that I got a good bit of cash back. Also, it wasn't my fault. A lady in a Camry ran a red light, and I t-boned her doing about 40 mph. Got out with a few scratches from the airbag and a major adrenaline rush!

Matt

I have not been able to get a track on FRANCONIA since she left Southampton radar, nothing on SAILWX or weather tracking reports...

She's gone dark

XXSML -did you ever get any help?

And in other unrelated news...

Kaloo Kalay, Oh Happy Day! The OL says my MINI is at the dealer! The EDD changed to 8/8, from 8/7. Yea! But I have some bad news: I probably cannot pick the MINI up until my MA gets back from vacation, which is next week . I shall instead focus on important things - like work, getting things done around the house, vegetating by playing flash games all day.
