Ackkk!

My VIN is now tagged with the deadly asterisk on AIDA (I was #9 on the list before the UNDINE fiasco). There's only a few not 'waitlisted'.

I sure hope I don't get pushed!!!! Gonna have to teach this car to doggy paddle. I Really wanted to avoid late August Atlantic crossing (hurricanes)

Poor Steve - but you can still drive your current MINI, right? Or is it off limits since it is for sale? Oh, just for the heck of it, are you asking near to MSRP? I looked at the AD, but I don't think it listed the original purchase price.

Where did you happen to find that schedule?

Thanks!

John

Hehe... Nope, I'm still driving the MCS, albeit only as required.

The price I paid ~$32,000 for it in November 2004. The posted price of $25,500 is obviously a HUGE discount. Part of this is because things like Aero Kits ($2,750.00 installed) and R90 wheels ($1,695.00) and Driving lights ($780.00 installed) Don't hold value as well as the overall car does.

This is a great deal for someone who wants a fully-equipped MCS. Building a new one like this will cost ALOT (I know, I did it with the new convertible ... it's running about $38,500.00)

I got the shipping data from the Charleston port authority. They finally updated the Union Pier information to show August arrivals.

Here's the link: http://www.port-of-charleston.com/Vessel_schedule.asp

Thanks Steve for posting the ship arrivals. I wish you had been with us. Is your MINI still tagged with the deadly asterisk on AIDA?

NP.

Yes indeed... I'm quite anxious about that actually. On this schedule I won't see the new car until just before Labor Day. If it gets kicked to the curb again, It'll really get in to the dangerous part of the August shipping in the Atlantic... and cut in to the late Summer time with the lid down!

Amazing, isn't it? We were all sitting happily on the peir together, built just a few days apart. Now I'm more than2 weeks behind y'all

Let us all know when you guys are safe and sound on dry ground. I worry about you guys!

Sweet! (sorta...)

Got a delivery date of 8/7/05! Umm, this is a Sunday. A bit confused. This is the OL talking, not the smartest website on Earth. Anyone else get one? does this mean my MINI is at the VPC?

So did your MINI jump ship? Bean still shows En Route.

Perhaps yes. It would appear that you disembarked in NY. (Andes stopped in NY right?)

I think URUK got off in NY. Michigan's a lot closer to that VPC I'd think...

Charleston tomorrow for you!

I guess I did disembark in NY - I was a bit confused why I was scheduled on the Undine to SC - I certainly did jump ship, I suppose. Perhaps Bean helped me off the ship (probably like, "Look, there's a Ford on the ship! Run John's MINI [no name yet]!!!").

Anyhoo, mine is still "En Route" but under details, it lists an estimated delivery date! If MCM were a bit closer, I'd try to find out when they arrive, and go to see it on the lot. As it is, I'm going to have to skip work to get there on Saturday/Sunday (if the MINI checks out OK in NY, clean bill of health). I emailed my MA to give me a bit more detail vis a vie delivery!

Very cool for you! It must be exciting with the imminent delivery.

Let us know when you hear more.

Looks like I've been hijacked as well!!
This morning I found that WW no longer has my VIN number and the entire booking that I was a member of is no longer on record!

Time to start searching the other RoRo lines to see where we stoyed away.

Just got a response from my MA - if one of you who does have a MINI En Route please check your estimated delivery date, let me know - it seems the delivery date is when it's supposed to arrive at port. I'm just a bit skeptical about this, but willing to accept and let my mind explode.

Hope someone else reading this can confirm/correct.

I saw on the Charleston arrivals that the rust-bucket your poor MINI is/was riding on has been delayed a day and does not port in Charleston until tomorrow (8/2). Does that coincide with the delivery date on OL?

At least you know you won't be on the Andes Highway! Anything has got to be better that the ship we were on.

Let us know what you two find out. You must have shipped! That would be good news.

Bean should be in port today.

Current supposition is that we've been re-routed to the FRANCONIA on K-Line. She's loading right now (at pier 202 wherever that is...) and due at Chaleston one day earlier than the AIDA (8/15). She has only one stop before that at Baltimore.

oh no! Bean must of gotten detention for helping ururk's MINI escape. The Ford trick really worked. It doesn't say anything on the OL or ASK MINI. Both say En Route. I hope Bean had a tetanus shot!

Looks like I'm on the K-Line... Not confirmed but supposed. Perhaps I'll be able to find out for sure tomorrow. If this is true, then we are out-to-sea and on the way.

FRANCONIA Puts to sea... never was able to find a picture of her.
