Getting on the UNDINE and leaving port today!! This puts arrival at Charleston about the same time I would have been loading in Southampton.

I'll be watching carefully the rest of the day, but there's only about 800+ of us getting on (July car shipments)

 

Awesome! Have you checked the web cam in Southampton? It looks like our ship at the dock.

 

I think it's LIBERTY. She leaves 30 minutes earlier tonight (2200 local) and UNDINE is at 2230. LIBERTY shows up on the AIS site at the right location for that cam shot, I think.

I don't know if that's the Liberty - Liberty is headed towards 34/35, whereas Undine is headed towards 43. Ocean Dock (where the webcam is supposed to be located) is berths 43, 44, 47:

I think you have the right of it... so that should be the UNDINE in the cam shot... she just isn't showing up on the AIS tracker at all. Perhaps it's tea time and they've turned off the transponder?

Well since I am still 'Waitlisted Cargo' (asterisk next to my VIN) I will be anxious until I show 'LOADED' and it stays that way after 6:30PM tonight here on the East Coast....

 

Also, the AIS site is delayed by an hour. However, the Undine's been there since 14ish.

Me? Ha! Yes, mostly. Actually, I'm usually up to 1:00 or 2:00 anyhow.

In case anyone is wondering, I have scripts running.

1) download webcam image every minute
2) download radar every 5 minutes
3) & 4) download mediterranean and oceanweather image every hour @ the 30 mark

Gonna make some home videos : ) Will share, unless computer crashes and burns.

Departure time recently updated for LIBERTY to 2300 tonight and UNDINE is now 1600 tomorrow.

 

Hmmm. Odd. Well, at least we'll know if the ship is on the webcam or not!

 

Even stranger is that on Wallenius Wihelmsen site it says it sailed.

 

Hehehe... yepper. I wonder if the accident at the other RoRo last week is creating some challenges.

Good point. And I did notice the build times - which is why I was worried about my MINI getting shipped on this vessel! But think about it - those MINI's could be dealer MINIs, they might be prioritized differently.

 

I think that must be the case (non-cust cars). I noticed there are priorities associated with orders on the Vehicle Inquiry Report.

There's only about 700+ cars on our ship it seems, so it should have plenty of room.

Just checked and now "Jenks" is booked for the Undine.......... I'll be looking for...LOADED.......... and once I see that then I will attempt to do the same.......
