Sorry bout the smileys! Wonderful, fun, nice! I'm at work now, stopped to show the MINI. Don't have my camera on me now, but did get one picture at the dealership!!!!

I am so going to get a ticket in this thing : ( I'm a responsible driver, no speeding tickets, etc... Methinks you know what I mean

There is some sad news - The leather steering wheel was scraped. It's not visible from the front, but can be felt. I'm not too sure if I did it or if MINI or the dealership did it. I felt it a mile or two away form the dealership.

OK, don't laugh. The compression made my grin appear MUCH wider than it really was! Plus, the angle the photo was taken makes me look like I tower over the MINI. Heck, my mom is taller than it!



This is the only good photo (I hate my picture, but left it in, was going to fuzz my face out in Photoshop) - I drove the entire day (total of 70 miles) from the dealership, ran some errands, then headed to work. Yikes! I'm going to try budgeting 12,000 miles yearly to get the most out of the warranty (too engineerish, I know).

I wanted to wear my "Cape does not enable user to fly" T-shirt, but decided not to, though should have (it's navy blue). I also wore my MINI watch (off here - I had hoped I'd get free carpets, no dice), after picking my MINI up.

This is just so amazing I'm amazed I made it through the day. I was really nervous, my hand shook 1/4" when I went to sign the papers, really nervous. After signing, I calmed down a bit (do I look like the nervous type?). My signature is terrible, and I'm sure it didn't improve! Once I was behind the wheel, everything was A-OK!

She had me do some sort of MINI rite of passage - In front of the MINI, there were three MINI's. She moved the middle one, and said, "Let's see you get between these two." That would have been one expensive repair bill! The two were NOT lined up, and I had to pass between them at an angle .

All in all a good day.

Hey ururk! Looking sharp! I'll bet you'll find any excuse to motor in that good looking MINI! You should plan on the MOTD2006 next spring. Lot's of twisties and MINIS.

Here's hoping! I've read the 05's are a super improvement, so I'm hoping I don't have any issues that keep me from driving! With the dealership 45min away, the worst it better do is rattle .

For my '04 the closest dealership was 90 miles away, so I understand your anxiety. She ran like a dream, no worries... and whenever I did have to go to the dealer, it was a nice day-trip drive

 

Order Track finally caught up and shows at the DC... and the EDD moved up a day to 08-19 so I'm betting it's transporting to the dealership now...
