New MCS here, old NSX for sale

I was taking pics yesterday of my old car to sell it and thought it would be fun to take a few with it's replacement. I've got about 350 break in miles on the Cooper S; can't wait to really drive it! First mod will be the Whalen shift **** I got for Fathers' Day...when I manage to get the stock one off. Thanks to everyone on these forums for the great pre-purchase info.

Welcome to NAM. It is a beautiful MCS, but are you sure you can’t keep them both?

Good choice - the Whalen is probably my favorite mod I've done to my car in terms of driving improvement.

The easiest way to get the old know off is to stretch one leg over the shifter so its in the passenger side and the **** is between your knees. Lock your fingers together with the **** in the center, hands enclosing the ****, and thumbs on top. Now, with your knees under your wrists, use your legs to push the **** up. It should come right off with no bloody lip, black eyes, or broken teeth (all of which I've heard blamed on **** removal).

AH! Just what I was looking for. I was hoping removing the stock shift **** would be much less of an invovled procedure than this is (seriously, a screw-on would have been nice). I'll be sure to open the sunroof and wear a racing helmet just in case...

I'm asking about $37,000 for the NSX. It's a '95 with 42,000 miles. It's in the marketplace at http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54029 with more pictures if anyone's interested.
I'll try the **** removal technique as soon as I recover from previous attempts!

since Acura has discontinued the current generation NSX I'd hang onto it if U can. any NSX from 94 on (when only 300 a year were made) will be a collector's item not too far down the road. Jimbo

Acura is comitted to keep the NSX alive and will release an all new car sometime next year.

The NSX was an impressive car when it was first released in 1991, but it lacked the "catchet" and "exotic" status of its European competitors. Also the car suffered in the marketplace because Honda did not keep the horsepower up and the car somehow became stale.

Beautiful but totally impractical car.
