Placing an order for MCS. .

Hello fellas.

O yes. I'm the one from the post concerning Demo car right below. .
I've decided to just wait few weeks (5~7 Not bad. NOT bad. )
I'm going for a reputable dealer near me tomorrow.
Test drive one and place an order right away.

My question.

Do I have to get all the credit application paper works and such messy nasty stuffs done the day I place an order? Or can it wait til the car comes?

Of course, I will deposit whatever amount they ask for.

Just curious about it. Since I won't be the one who's going to sign the paper...

Thanks all pep.

Nope, all it takes is the $1000.00 deposit, and the rest you can deal with in the 5 to 7 weeks when you take delivery!

Make sure that your receipt says that the deposit is entirely refundable.

I would also get a contract for the car spec'd as you want it with the final price on it.

Yup, my deposit on ordering was $1000 in Dallas...but that was back in late '02. I should know better than to post on current conditions....it took at least 6 months to get an MCS back then. Good luck on your order!!!

Wow. Ordered mine last Friday and it should be here in August.. I cant wait till it gets here... I dont ever remember being this excited about a car. BTW what part of Dallas are you in? I used to live up there, moved down to San Antonio in 2003.

This is very good advice--especially for the dealer-installed options. When I was getting my JCW suspension, I was originally quoted $1050 installed. Turns out that didn't include the springs! (The MINIUSA website is misleading). Two days before delivery, I get a call, and the dealer says the springs were $400 extra apparently! After a lot of back-and-forth, we basically ended up splitting the difference, but sheesh--what a last-minute surprise! You wanna avoid such things!

Yeah, that was $1000.00 American, and it is completely refundable; I think the only caveat was that they had to wait until the car was sold, and you got your $1000.00 back.
