Hey there, future ownere here living in La Maddalena, Italy. The wife and I are waiting for delivery on our Convertible S, hopefully sometime in July or August.
I found this site because I am looking for aftermarket parts for future purchase. I'm looking forward to getting some good information from all of you who are smarter than me (which would be most everyone)

Hope to hear more about your new MINI soon.
A small lesson on forum lingo:
We normally abbreviate a MINI Cooper Cabrio as MCC and MCSC for S Cabrio.. And if your like me and have a MINI Cooper S with the auto tranny then thats a MCSa or MCSCa for the cabrio. Man I need to find that thread someone made with all the abbrevations in one post

Welcome. Being out in Europe already you have a bit of an advantage over us western hemisphere folk, from what I've seen there are a number of aftermarket supplies for the new mini in europe, especially in the UK (gee i wonder why
) Also, if you pick up a copy of GoMINI mag you'll find a whole bunch of ads for suppliers. In the meantime, below is a list of websites to various vendors I have found over the last few months. Lots of them are in the vendors area here but some aren't. Enjoy your new car, make sure you post some pics so us hardtop peeps can drool over your topless beauty

Wow, great response from everyone. Thanks for all the replies
First of all, I will try and learn the "Forum Lingo". In the meantime I will have to speak like the slow kid in the class...please excuse that.
We ordered the hyper blue with black bonnet stripes. One of the perks of being in the military overseas is that there is a company that sells BMW, SAAB and Minis at very reasonable prices. One of the "downfalls" I guess is that the mini is very comon over here for Americans to drive since it is such a good deal. My wife has an Italian co-worker who said that it would cost him twice as much to buy one here.
As for specs, I can't really give you all of those right now because 1) I am currently out to sea (the specs are at home) and 2) we ordered it two months ago, so some things are not fresh in my mind anymore (I'm old).
Here's a funny story though (if anyone is still reading...damn this is a long post): I sent out an email to all of my family and friends with the subject "We're Expecting!" The body said that I didn't want to say anything until the news was official but we are expecting delivery in August. We haven't settled on a name yet but we are leaning towards "Cooper". I have attached our first pic of the little one...and of course I attached the picture from the website of the Cabrio we built
All the hate mail I got was worth it (we are childless).
Thanks for all the vendor links. I'm not a gear head but I am willing to learn.
I promise I will take lots of topless pictures once we get it. The scenery in and around Sardegna is beautiful so I will do my best to elicit some drool
One of our goals is to take it to the Amalfi Coast.
Anyway thanks again. Looking forward to being a member here.
