Now a TWO MINI family!
Now a TWO MINI family!
Yesterday, as we were driving home from UNC Chapel Hill through Winston Salem my husband had a darned fine idea, let's pop in to Flow Mini and see what they have on the lot. Well while they didn't have anything exciting outside, look at this baby they had inside.
Yes, I signed the papers and brought it home pronto
Now we have two MINI's in the garage
I think we need therapy but it will have to wait, I have a new MINI that NEEDS drivin'!!!!!!! (if the derned rain will ever quit!!
)
Can't decide on a name for my new baby yet, but we're working on it!

I must be a very conservative "shopper"...admittedly I put a deposit on my '05 MCS within 24 hours of the test drive...but I can't imagine cruising by the dealership on a whim and immediately buying a brand new car!!!
Unbelievable, gutsy, fabulous!!! Congratulations!
The best word to describe it...AUDACITY - daring, bold, impudent!

Smart move.. have two MINIS in the family keeps the marriage happy
the "two MINI Family" club is getting bigger every day..
Don't forget the Walkie-Talkie to chat with your spouse when both of you are driving to the same location with both MINIs...
Often people look surprised when they ask us " Which car did you take today?" and we answer "Both".. try it it's a lot of fun..
Name ideas: Bluette
MD STREGA2 MCSC B>DS
DC STELLA MCC B>CB

It is really quite interesting when you realize how many "double trouble" couples there are. We take two almost everywhere we go. That color reminds me of a little spring "VIOLET". :smile: Congratulations.

Got to love having a choice in my family. We have the convertible for around town MCC(sis car) and the sportcar (my car) MCSa
.
Clover, my son is trying to get us to call it Blueberry! I wanted to call it "Max" - to me it just looks like a "Max" but so far no one else in the family has warmed to the name
QueenB - I love the "double trouble" - that fits us PERFECTLY!!
AC_Mini - well, let's put it this way, the 02 is in his name and this one is in mine so of course I pulled the "it's MY car" card and therefore won the luxury of it being designated "Her car"
lastrega - I just happen to have a set of those handy walkie talkies from the RV. Hmmm ... this is a darned fine idea - no more eating up cell minutes!!
YYC - we are the ultimate in impulse buyers. With the '02 we were driving around Savannah GA and saw it on a lot, test drove it, it had every light on that was possible, we told the guy we'd pay cash for it - lights and all ... he knocked 3 grand off the price (therefore the "stole it" license plate). With this one I had him run the numbers for a lease and when he presented the figure I told him, "we'll take it" he almost fell out of his chair. I even signed the papers and everything before I ever drove it
Once MINI is in your blood that's it, there's no hope from that point on ...
It's definitely a great car, much more smooth than the 02!!!! And if the blasted rain would ever stop I could put the top down. The day I bought it I had it down for about an hour until my 5 year old starting turning blue in the backseat from chill and not at all since. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice. I'm doing a sun dance tonight (so close the blinds
)
So far I have 230 miles on it ...

Congrats! We are awaiting our first Mini, but... I believe that two autocrossers in the family just might mean two mini's. That depends on if Rip decides to convert... he's a diehard Fiat guy right now!

Well, I have to say....just cannot resist...that yours is one of the "Best" MINI predicaments I've ever seen!
How about "Max the Blueberry?"
