two weeks,300 miles

I thought I would hold off on any comments until I drove my Mini for a couple of weeks. I now have 320 miles and I must say the grin has not gone away from my face since I picked it up. This car is every thing I hoped it would be and more. I'm keeping it under 4500 until I break it in but I'm having a ball with it . I put h-sport springs on it the first week I had it. It seems to have improved the ride just slightly and until you push it hard it dosn't seem very different then the stock springs. I do enjoy the 1 inch drop, it just needed that gap taken out. I would like to hear from someone about how far you can bring back the camber in the rear because the out side edge of the tire dosn't touch the ground. Here are some pictures of my yet to be named Mini.

Great Mini, and beautiful montains in back ground.

After dropping it does it drag on speed bumps?

The H-sport springs drop the car about an inch so it dosn't seem to be an issue with speed bumps as yet.

Have you heard how much gas is going for in Cali? I had to morgage my house for the second tank. I plan on adding a few miles this next weekend. I like the H/K sound system but it's not anything like my wife's 330i H/K system.

Nice MINI, but then I am partial to PW/B. In addition to lowering u may want to consider window tint....gives the PW/B a real agressive look, IMHO

Congrats!

Glad to hear that you are still enjoying your MINI! but I do have to agree with Wraith and say that you need to get out and motor more! The weather here in northern CA has been ideal for motoring lately... I put 1240 miles on Samantha in the last week (before I had to take her into the shop on Tuesday)... Oh and dont let the gas prices get you down- they arent that bad yet here... about 2.78/gallon but thats a small price to pay for 300ish miles of happy motoring!! Congrats again!

When driving my MINI I never even think about gas and gas prices. For some reason that card swipe at the pump goes through so much easier when I've got the keys to the MINI in the other hand. (Paid $2.90 today)

However, when I have the keys to the suburban, 545i or 325i (partners sloooooow ride), that card swipe really sucks!

I was just kidding about the price of gas being the reason for not putting on the miles. I guess my joke was a bit off. I'll work on my act and get back to the post.
