New Here...Need Aftermkt Mechanic in INDY!

Hi Folks! New to these boards. Also member of TX's CooperSpeed & Dallas' MetrolplexMINI.org. My wife & I will be working in a theatre in Indianapolis the last two weeks of July through August (05). I have a rather extensive amount of mods on my 04 JCW MCS including an EVO upgrade I'd rather not lose. I've virtually "cooked" my warranty w/ aftermarket, so if anything went wrong while I was in the area, I was hoping to find at least a couple of shops within say, a 50-mile radius of Indy that had experience working on aftermarket tuned MINIs. I noticed there was an INDY MINI Club & I was hoping you guys might be able to help us out. Thanx in advance for any info you could share!

You might want to ask a moderator to move this to the MINICCI forum.

Trying to think who might help you the most... MINIGURU

I actually "tossed" this same post in the middle of a MINICCI thread about the most recent gathering & Way sent me his contact info. But thank YOU for responding here! So, "Doc"...not to compromise your standing with the man, but outside the dealership (R&?), does MINIGuru have any "healthy competition"?!? Or is he pretty much THE man...?

You might want to try MINIGURU. From my understanding he use to work for the Indy dealer and now has a shop of his own. Here is a little blurb about him from the Vendor Announcement page:

NAM is happy to welcome WAY Motor Works. Waylen or (MINIGURU) had worked for the MINI dealer since MINI was reborn. He is a factory certified technician and was one of the Top 20 MINI techs in the country last year. Now that he no longer works at the MINI dealer he is free to offer his services.

He will also be at the Dragon doing work for people. Hope that helps.
