What you pay for your Mini

Hi everyone, I am new here and I am going to buy a Mini S for my girl friend, I just wondering anyone paying their Mini below MSRP? I paid $6500 below MSRP for my porsche and $4500 for my mercedes. Really want to know if Mini dealer will go below MSRP. Porsche and Mercedes dealer usually negotiate price and Porsche dealers even have a mark up for the new 997 . If anyone
got a deal from dealer on their Mini, please post here. So I can try to work the price with the dealer.
the spec of the car is
Mini Cooper S
Auto transmission
sport package
Navigation
H/K sound
covenience package
MSRP is 26200.

I work at a Volvo dealership and I see these huge discounts too. It was painful for me to walk in and pay sticker for a car..I did get a couple of trinkets thrown in though.

Good luck getting a MINI below MSRP. Usually people will pay at or above MSRP depending on what part of the country your in. I was told if I ordered a car I would only get $500 off the car. Big woop right?

I paid $500 under only because they forgot the Jan. 2004 increase and were good enough not to charge me on delivery. I bought at Moritz MINI in Arlington, TX. The local Vegas dealer wanted $2500 over and a variety of California dealers wanted as much as $6000 over. It's tough to desire one of the most popular under produced cars in the world, but there are dealers who will not take advantage of you, just shop around.

I'd check www.nemini.org for the North East (NYC area mainly) spin on things. here is a link to the dealer review forum: http://www.nemini.org/Forums/viewforum/f=32.html

No, they won't. Some add additional fees, but most everyone pays MSRP. Yes, MINIs are that hot!!!

If you can get a MINI below MSRP - we'd love to hear about it. Very few have managed to do it...We paid MSRP for both of ours.

Julie at Classic MINI in OH sells at MSRP and will give you a bunch of free stuff like floormats and hats plus 20% off accessories. I bought there from out of state and drove my car home. That was the best car buying experience I've had.

I purchased an '05 MCS (US spec) over here in Germany on the military purchase plan. It's a pretty sweet deal. I saved almost $2000 dollars from the price I got on the MINIUSA configurator. There is also no sales tax, but depending on which state I move back to, I may have to pay it back. With this program, you don't get the full customer treatment as you do in the States, and the wait time for your order is also quite a bit longer.
