Mini From On-Order to Sched for Production

My mini status just changed this morning from On-Order to Scheduled for Production.

Does anyone know how long it takes to move to the next step Awaiting Transport?

My Mini is getting closer!

Here's how it went for me:
Ordered my MC Feb. 19th at MINI of Peabody (awesome MINI dealership, I have to say!)
Production started March 4th, ended March 15th.
Ship set sail YESTERDAY(!!!!!) {March 16th} and will arrive in New York City March 24th. I'm in Mass. so I expect it will be another week till she arrives at my dealer??? Longest wait of my LIFE!!! But so worth the wait.

Hang tight! And CONGRATS!!!

And to answer your question more succinctly... about 2 weeks.

How long

Mine went into production this Monday, due off assembly line next Wed. I was told to allow up to 2 weeks btwn each stage. Sometimes you catch it lucky and a ship and container are ready when your car is. Just the luck 'O the Irish'...

ask mini

Call the 800 ASK MINI number to get more accurate updates on your car's status. The Mini Owners Lounge is always behind somehow. Once you're in production it goes amazingly fast. My total time from ordering at the dealer to delivery was about two months if that helps any.

The number to call is: 1-866-ASK-MINI
Say "vehicle production status" then read off your production number then hope the MINI dude has good news to relay.

Waiting for my ship to come in, still,

Hey, no cutting in line!

Hello,

Imagine our MINI's are traveling down the line together, just saw changes this morning on MINI phone line. I received a date for production completion of 25 March.

If you call the line and speak to a human, you might get more info, like VIN, from them.

Cheers,
Matthew Z.

I'm with you, Lola!!! Mine completed production on 3/08 (I ordered with the dealer on 2/05) and was sent right to the docks. It missed the first ship it was booked on, the Elektra, scheduled to sail on the 12th. This ship holds 5822 cars, but didn't have room for mine. My car was loaded and sailed yesterday on the Maersk Tide due in NJ/NY on 3/24. I figure another two weeks after that until it's done at the VPC, transported to the dealer, then the dealer options installed and car prepped before they say it's ready for me.

I agree the wait is almost unbearable, but it's great the way that you can just about track it every step of the way. It makes you feel a part of the process.

Newbie and scheduled for production!

Hello everyone, first post.

This is a great site for info. Just called Ask Mini and found out my (wifes) MCSc is due for completion on March 30. We just ordered this past Monday from Tom Bush Mini in Jacksonville FL at MSRP. They had a March slot open , we took it, got production number on Tuesday. What we are waiting for....

MSCc - Chile Red, Black Top, Chrome Line Exterior, Chrome Mirror caps and hinges, Conv. Pack, Premium Pack, Sport Pack, Steptronic with Paddle shift, Cordoba Beige Leather, Int. Chile Red surfaces, Nav System, White Bonnet Stripes, Rear Fog Lights, HK Sound, Center Arm rest...

Wish it was here now in Orlando for spring driving...
