hey Wayne,

I'd help out if I could, but I can't. That is a FINE selection you've made there, though :-)

See my sig for more ;-)

Cool sig idea... needs to be updated for the 05s though, first item on the list, the new colors... especially Hyper Blue! Then, they need to add different factory wheel options, the different JCW upgrades (e.g. brakes & suspension), and other new stuff like LSD. Also, no mention of transmission types?

Hey

Hey,

I'm cool with it. It wasn't my web page, after all :-)

Seriously, individual who posted the web page goes by the tag "3D Geek", and is apparently on his 2nd MCS now. Most of the web site ref's his first one, "Yoda The Magnificent".

I could always speak to him about updating the page. I think we'd have to offer new tags, as well. If I break open the decoder page, I can review the format and change it. Might be something for the next few break days I get (Su-We).

Cheers,
Matthew Z.

I'm guessing that it will be pretty easy - the existing tags can still work, just that new tags and options have to be added to accomodate all of the new options!

If you (or he) are looking for any "beta tester" type people, to help ensure that all options are covered, lemme know.

The whole bottom end of the engine is all the same as the stock MCS; forged crank, pistons, and con-rods. The JCW cylinder head uses the same camshaft and valvetrain, just has ported intake and exhaust runners, so the compression ratio is all the same as stock. The Throttle Body is stock MCS. The Injectors are different, at 380cc vs. [I think] 340cc stock. Transmission, and the whole rest of the car is same as stock MCS. Let's try it the other way, here's what's different than stock:

airbox, ported intake and exhaust runners in cyl.head, injectors, ECU mapping, cat-back exhaust, supercharger ratio (supercharger same as stock, just new), colder heat range version of stock spark plug.

I hope that helps,
Ryan

Ryan,
You were very helpful and answered my real questions, forged crank, pistons and type rods.
One thing though, what is the stock compression ratio??
I knew about the JCW head and the mods are mostly for flow charactersitics and improvements.

^^ I concur! 8.3:1 is the MCS and JCW Compression Ratio.

--->Hounddog, you're very welcome! :smile:

NealW,
Thanks, found the link to the site of the motor manufacturer Tritec Motors and that's exactly what they listed.
