Recreational towing

Does anyone have experience with towing their 2005 MCS behind a motor home. I'm interested in traveling and taking my mini with me. I understand that Blue Ox makes the baseplates, has anyone researched the installation of them. I'm also interested in a wiring kit that possibly wires into the mini's existing lighting, has anyone had any experience? I've done this with a 2002 Grand Cherokee and it was quite easy. I 've ask Mini USA and although they say it is the perfect tow vehicle they will not supply any information because of the warranty. Help if you can!

I tow my 04 MCS on all fours. I used the Roadmaster Kit No. 521875-1 and had the install done by Camping World, including the light kit. works great

Is the light kit incorporated into teh existing lighting or is it an entirely seperate system outside the vehicle like a light bar?

recreational towing - lights

Camping World has a light kit that integrates into the existing lighting so you can use the cars lights in lieu of a light bar.

I have been asking for feedback on several forums concerning experience towing 4 down with Cooper S. We all know MINIUSA says not to do it. But what real time experience have you had. Transmission heating? etc.

I think MINI is missing a great sales opportunity in not placing themselves as the best toad in the industry for Part-Full Time RVers

Thanks that has been a great help. I'm not sure I like the lower moulding cut as well as the Blue ox illustration through the grating. The wireing harness looks super do you have a campers world part number by any chance? Thanks a lot for your help!!
