Hello
Hello
I just got my first Mini a couple of months ago. 2022 Cooper S 3 door hatchback. I live in the US (Colorado Springs). The nearest Mini dealership is quite a few miles away but I’ve always done all ( or almost all) of the work on every vehicle I’ve owned. I’m hoping to do the same with my mini. It looks challenging. Not nearly as much information available as other vehicles I’ve owned. But thanks to this site and a few others, I’m filling the knowledge gap.

Basic stuff is just that: basic. It's enough to get you through the things you'll need to know that are maintenance-related. That's probably all you'll need for a LONG TIME with this car. Welcome!
Thanks for the encouraging words. After reading all about the plastic oil filter housing that is bound to break and the automatic transmission park position spring it is good to hear some positive thoughts on the reliability of the Mini. I already had to replace the battery. A lot more to that than I expected. But thanks to this forum (and others), I got it replaced and registered using BimmerLink.
Next up will be an oil and filter change. And I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for coolant leaks.
