Old Inactive Member, Old Mini Owner Introducing Myself
Hey everyone,
After being inactive on the forum for about 20 years, I've decided to jump back into the chat.
Since I was last on here I finished restoring a 1971 Austin Mini equipped with a 1275 turbo engine. I stumbled upon this car while vacationing in England and couldn't resist bringing it home to California. Despite the shipping costs exceeding the initial purchase price, I spent the next two years restoring it in my garage, and now it's finally up and running. It's been quite the journey, and I'm thrilled to share it with all of you.

Welcome back, and AMAZING job!! Would love to see more pix of the engine and interior. Love the color choices, and the double tow hooks add a certain flair. Very nicely done!👍👍
Were you able to determine the original color?
I’ve got such respect for the OG members here. I’m a newbie in comparison, but knee deep in the last 3-4 years. Congrats on the unveiling, great job. More pics when you get them.
Welcome back! I've loved (but never owned) Classic Minis from back in the '60s when they were new(ish) and I was so much younger. Still have the original brochure (cover page shown below) framed and hanging above my garage work bench. Agreed with others, do share more as progress develops!
