OctaneGuy: Look at what Prima Can Do..

From our Wednesday night clinic, a participant brought his old Porsche in. Some panels were actually orange due to oxidation.

Using an orange pad and Prima Swirl on a 7424XP polisher, we restored the color and brilliance to the paint and the owner was ecstatic!

PreWow cleaned these up in no time

ok once inside the shop, the true condition of the paint is revealed

The engine lid was single stage, appropriate for a car of this age.

The owner now working on the paint for the first time!

To get around the emblems, we used a 4" pad on the 7424XP

Just goes to show that even a newbie with a PC can have astonishing results under the proper guidance!

Sorry, but what is a 7424XP polisher? I was in the auto parts store today and saw 2 polishers. One looked like the one shown above and one had 2 handles and was called 'random' orbital? Id like to buy one but I want to know what Im buying.

It's the latest dual action random orbital polisher from Porter Cable.

Don't just get one that looks like it, get the real thing as there are few equivalents.

This is the exclusive combo I sell..the ONLY modded PC.

But anybody could get those results with the Jedi Master watching over his shoulder.

When I get my PC I'm expecting the same service here in Vancouver

Really nice work. Now if only you weren't 3,400 miles away, I'd have you working on my car. I bought my Mini used and even though the original owner kept it in a garage and it only had 8000 miles on it, I don't think he ever put a coat of wax on it. I cleaned up the paint and chrome no problem, but last year I changed the stripe and now you can see the lines where the old stripes were. I tried to buff it out and so did a local detail shop (their work is questionable at the best of times), but no luck.

Man, we need a guy like you in the neighbourhood.

My kids got me a 7424XP last year and a bunch of pads and box full of Richards stuff.

I was stunned at how my car came out. And I thought I was doing a good job before.

We then did my sons Z3.

I will say this, that once you use the 7424XP you will always use the 7424XP.

If the emblems can be removed, the best way is to do that. But in most cases you cannot remove them, so you can use smaller polishing pads down to 3" and also work it by hand.
