Proud New Owner- 06 Turbo S

Hi everyone, I just wanted to welcome myself to the forum and thank you for letting me join. I've had the Mini hatchback turbo S about a week and performed my 1st oil change yesterday using mobile 1 0/40 the car is at 99,000 miles and seems to be in great shape , I do hear a the rear brakes squealing upon braking but the rotors feel smooth and the pads look thick, not sure what to look for the car did set for a bit because the previous owner bought a 2017 mini she'd had been driving, so my mini set for almost a year. Also noticed the valve cover bolts looked extremely rusty on the heads of the bolts, not sure if rain is being forced in from the hood vent. Do I just change the bolts one by one soaking around the bolts with pb blaster or what would you members do. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Congratulations! These are fun cars to drive and own. I recommend having your vehicle inspected FIRST, before doing ANYTHING. This will provide an overall condition on your 06 MCS and will assist with your budget. I purchased a 07 MCS from a dealer, that was in good shape, but I still added about $2200 in tires, parts, and exterior parts.

Welcome aboard.

BTW, the 2006 model year has a supercharger, not a turbo.
