Trying to rebuild turbo cant remove actuator
hey guys so my turbo blew, and I am trying to rebuild it myself or get as far as I can to rebuilding it myself. I sourced a replacement CHRA and will order that once I have opened the turbo.
I am having a hard time trying to dismantle the actuator, I loosened the bolts that hold the actuator to turbo, but cant figure out if I am supposed to loosen the bolt at the end of the rod of actuator.
I did try but its rock solid tight, and it was looking like it would crack if I tried to loosen it.
I tried to google but it seems alot of the videos I found, have a clip that you detach, I dont see this on this turbo.
this is just a standard factory turbo.
Also I hear that you can replace the k03 with a k04 chra, is this possible or will i need to modify a few things.

I did mine
I rebuilt my turbo two months ago. Try some wd-40 or equivalent and loosen up the adjusting nuts on the actuator shaft. Spin it all the way off the end and leave the lever attached to the boost control valve. Three bolts attaching the vacuum actuator should slide out after you get them out.
