Hello from Tampa Bay, Florida

Purchased a 2002 R53 Cooper S with 18K miles. Great little daily driver but looking at figuring out what and when things will start giving me issues. Also looking at upgrades to the power and cosmetic.

Welcome, that is a great low mileage find.
Normal things that car will need will be some powerflex front control arm bushings as they all wear out.
The crank pulley will fail as the rubber in it drys out and it falls off, go with our ATI damper and it won't happen again.
then the other things will come with time like oil leaks, but with such low mileage I wouldn't be concerned just enjoy it.

Thanks for that rundown on potential issues. It is a fun car, only stopped once (68/50). I am always looking for ways to upgrade parts as they wear out.
