Picked up a 2004 Cooper S for cheap that needed a new clutch and after a few months of working on it when I have time it's finally almost ready for the road. Feels like I've rebuilt the car at this point but I'm far past the point of no return, looking forward to driving it.
Just towed home torn apart New clutch kit and LSD Cleaned up nicely
Welcome to the forum and the MINI experience. Hopefully, your new MINI will be up to your standards soon and you can enjoy the drive. After you get on the road, you should quickly find it was all worth it.
Serviced the supercharger and put cravenspeed pulley on Replaced belt tensioner, idler pulley and belt replaced some very black highbeam bulbs Installed torsion style lsd nearly had a stroke when I priced out the cost of new valve cover bolts
Wow. Those bolts terrible ! Now im gonna go inspect mine.
I would soak those in some kinda penetrating lubes for a few days and a few coats before I would even touch them .
wish I had the know how to do all that by my self...most I've done was mod and swap in a aod trans from a mustang into my cougar .lol
Do you plan on any other performance mods ? Mine isNt stock and it's an absolute blast to drive and it surprises everybody with it speed actually . Agility is a given but I still need to check for performance sway bars n stuff as I bought it with next to no history . But it did come with some good mods on it .

After its all sorted an on the road I was going to get aluminum trailing arms off a r56 and adjustable control arms in the rear and then either get the Bilstien Pro kit or Koni Yellows and Swift springs. Also sometime in there I was going to get a intake and catback exhaust.
