Hello - First Mini - Meet Basil the 2016 F56-S
I have been wanting a Mini for quite a while, but the car I had to trade had negative equity and finding a deal was proving to be very difficult. I was really looking for a manual 2 door hardtop. I didn't really care if it was a base or S. Options were not a big concern either. I finally reached out to a Mini dealership in North GA, Mini of Kennasaw, and was connected with David, the sales guy.
David agrees finding the right Mini would be difficult with my circumstances and after a week or so of no luck I was surprised that he was still trying to find me a car. After 3 weeks I was certain there would be no deal but David persisted and finally just over 6 weeks later of lots of texts and false starts, I drove 4 hours to Kennasaw to pick up Basil. It wasn't a manual but damn if it isn't a beautiful car and I am extremely happy with it.
The only kink... no one had noticed during all the inspections that the passenger door would not open from the inside. We didn't find this out until close to 8PM Saturday so my options are another 4+ hour drive back to Kennasaw or a 2 hour drive to Jacksonville, FL for a warranty repair. Looks like I am headed to Jacksonville on Friday.
Now if I can only convince my wife to let me get the windows tinted sooner than later.

It looks beautiful! Sorry, it's an automatic though =P
I was also thinking how I should tint my windows and will approach the wife about it soon. I think I'll focus on cosmetic "upgrades" for a little before diving into performance ones. (I also have a F56 MCS. I had similar wants: 2 door HT and manual transmission, which was surprisingly hard to find variety among. But at least I bought last month since the 2020's are all auto.)

Congrats, yep get those tinted in FL 100%
Glad to see you got the old Electric blue, I remember when that came out back in the Gen 1 MINI days.
