Just bought my mini!

So thrilled to be a Mini owner! Thank you everyone for all your help & support ❤️ Here is my Mini, a 2014 Clubman S, highclass gray & silver ext, lounge toffee int, cold weather & tech package, only 35,5k mi.

Sorry photos out of sequence, tried to shuffle but no go.

A few things: 1) I need to replace the right lower speaker cover on the door but am wondering if should go ahead and replace all the speaker covers with chrome instead of silver. Has anyone had trouble finding these parts for a decent price? and 2) There's a hole in rear right armrest, think replacing better than trying to patch hole or otherwise repair, does anyone know, is this OEM part# 51432755964 ?

Also looking for good suppliers of mini accessories. I'd love the Union jack tail lights but don't think they are available for retrofitting on this model - at least haven't been able to find. Also, doorsill right missing, need to replace...

Broken speaker cover; just not sure if I should replace with same OEM part# 51412753686 (silver) or replace all with chrome (this part# 51412753333)

Small hole in rear seat armrest - is this OEM part# 51432755964 ?

Close up of hole in right rear armrest

Nice looking MINI. Congratulations.

There are several good MINI suppliers that support the forum and should have what you need. I have bought from OutMotoring a few times and have been happy with their prices and service.

Congrats on your new R55. You can also try your local wreckers for parts (especially chrome speaker covers)

Hi everyone, thanks for comments! Am having trouble finding the passenger door sill strip in checkered pattern - so many sellers for the short (driver’s) side that they want you to buy for passenger side too...found one on UK eBay that is selling both but at least has correct length for passenger side. $150 include shipping but obvi prefer cheaper alternative with only 1 plate instead of the set. Thanks iankun for suggestion re local salvage, will keep looking!

Very nice find! Love the High Class Gray (there is a HCG registry here on NAM).

For MINI parts, you can post a “WTB” (want to buy) on the NAM Marketplace. Also, “All Mag” is a MINI salvage yard that you might try for parts. They are a vendor that supports this blog.

A couple of points under the heading of MINI care - make sure the oil stays topped off and is changed at 5000 miles with high quality synthetic. At 35k+ miles, the MINI shocks are less than good. Sometime in the near-ish future consider replacing them with either Koni or Bilstien shocks. You don’t have to do this, but this was the best thing I did for ride and handling improvement.

Also, ENJOY, have fun and wave...

Hi and thanks! I'd heard about oil changes every 5k mi but appreciate shocks info, as well as parts sources & HCG. Will have more questions for sure, so glad I found NAM!

Welcome! Union jack tails weren't made for this gen. Nice clubby and interior!
